Garfield Childcare, Preschool & OOSH is a privately-owned childcare centre in Wentworthville NSW. We offer a high standard of preschool education and operate between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, to cater to the needs of working families who prefer the option of a preschool environment for their child's early education and care.
Garfield caters to children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years old and offers an OOSH and Vacation care program for children aged 5 to 12 years old. Our centre comprises of five rooms, each specifically designed and resourced to suit the needs of different age groups. There is a particular focus in the 3 to 6 years rooms on life skills development and school transition programs.

Services
The Owners and Managing Directors of Garfield Childcare are Sri and Malathy Srianandarajah. Sri is Garfield's Approved Provider. The Nominated Supervisor/Director of Garfield Childcare is Heather Hennessy. Heather is a fully qualified Diploma with over 17 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Garfield Childcare Service is committed to providing a quality service which fosters an approach of mutual respect and collaborative relationships between educators, children, families, communities and management. We believe that all children have the right to be supported, nurtured and to experience the moment of embracing childhood.
Educators aim to create positive learning environments and guide experiences for each child in conjunction with their family. Educators will observe children and facilitate their learning to provide each child with an individualised portfolio by documenting their learning throughout the year. Children and their families will be encouraged to participate in the ongoing process to promote engaged learning.
Geetha prepares all meals and snacks for the children each day. These meals and snacks are freshly made and nutritious for your child, in accordance with recommendations of the Healthy Kids program, an initiative of the NSW Ministry of Health, NSW Department of Education, Office of Sport and the Heart Foundation.
At Garfield Childcare, Preschool & OOSH fees are charged on a daily basis and include charges for Public Holidays. Since the fee level calculation is based on averages, fees must be paid even if the child is away sick, on holidays, or if your child is excluded due to non-immunisation. Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is available to all eligible families who attend Garfield Childcare.

Very professional and caring educators, always approachable. Our son has been enrolled at this centre for last 3 years and he is happy to go there every day. When we leave our child at the centre, we never had to worry and always have peace of mind that he would be fine, learn good things and most importantly enjoy. Thanks a lot Miss Mala and teachers for taking good care of him. I would highly recommend Garfield Child Care.

An excellent child care centre with lot of space for the kids to play around. They have 3 different categories for children in different age group and appropriate educators and staff for each categories.
We have our baby and school going child in Garfield's OOSH club who were taken good care in this centre.

Educators - are approachable and caring.
Activities - innovative ideas make learning through play fun for the little ones + the educators ensure every kid gets to participate in all the activities.
Food - nut and egg free + cater to kids' dietary requirements.
Center - has a large open play area at the back and is generally kept very clean.
Factors that helped us decide on this childcare - Rapport with the educators and the layout of the center.

Our 2 year old son is attending Garfield Child Care Centre since he was 7 months. We could not have asked for better care, secure nurturing environment and promote free play and allowed our son to develop into a more confident boy, he has also been learning a lot of educational stuff to prepare him for the journey ahead.
We would definitely recommend Garfield Childcare centre to parents given the positive experience we have had so far.

The staff is super nice and takes good care of the kids. I sent my kid to Garfeild Child Care for two years and she loved it a lot, whether it was with her friends or teachers, she always missed her favorite teacher, Jo, because now my kid is going to be kindy. I'm glad I have peace of mind when I leave my kid here that the ladies are very reliable, trustworthy and polite. They also pay a lot of attention, always spend time to read books, play games with the children.
