Dr Rishi grew up in Geelong and has always loved the laid back lifestyle that Torquay and the Surf Coast offers. Dr Rishi loves meeting people and getting involved in the community. He is an avid guitar player and is currently trying to convince Dr Yvette that they should get a puppy. Dr Rishi has a passion for cosmetic dentistry and dental implants and has done considerable further study in advanced dental techniques.
At Torquay Dental we recommend children come in for their first dental visit around the age of three. This allows the child to get used to the dental atmosphere and starts them off with good dental habits. At Torquay Dental our aim is to make these early dental visits a fun experience to show children that being at the dentist is not something to fear.
Sometimes we may suggest sealants should be placed as a preventative measure on newly formed adult teeth. This is usually because some teeth form with deep crevices which catch food and plaque and can be difficult to clean properly. With minimal to no drilling, we can place a tooth coloured resin in these areas which creates a smooth, cleanable surface.
Although our goal is to keep teeth when possible, sometimes it is necessary to extract a tooth. This can be due to extensive decay, dental crowding or if a wobbly tooth is refusing to fall out on its own. Extractions should not be a reason to create anxiousness in your child and we will do everything we can to make the appointment go as smoothly as possible.

I had my first check up today at Torquay dental and wow, what a great experience! I saw Dr Annas who was so thorough and made me feel very comfortable. Nobody really enjoys going to the dentist but everyone here made it a very pleasant experience! I can’t recommend them enough. Will definitely be going back.

The team at Torquay Dental go out of their way to make sure that every visit is hassle free. Our young daughters love going to see Dr Yvette.
Dr Yvette is fantastic with children. She gives the kids just the right amount of information to make them feel comfortable about what she is doing. She shows the children the tools she is going to use and explains what they should expect to feel. Tayla from reception was even kind enough to take a phone message from my daughter today to pass onto the tooth fairy :)

Customer service 10/10, didn’t know a visit to the dentist could be so pleasant. Waiting room is comfortable and relaxing, they even serve you water or tea upon entry.
Staff are all lovely and helpful, Dr Annas was really thorough and professional too. Shared some tips about beard grooming, funny guy.

So grateful for the amazing team at Torquay Dental who have made such a pleasant experience for my family to visit the dentist. Dr Yvette was absolutely amazing with my 5 year old son who recently had a fall and needed a tooth removed. He was seen immediately and she took so much time and care to ensure he felt relaxed and comfortable throughout the whole process, as well as providing a follow up call the next day. A big thank you to Dr Yvette and all the staff at Torquay Dental! Our 2 year old had a bad fall that needed surgery. The surgeon wanted him to be checked by a dentist. Torquay Dental went above and beyond to fit him in and were fantastic with an active toddler that was tired and unsettled. Can’t recommend the whole team highly enough!
