Services
At Hastings Podiatry Centre we are able to provide an excellent wide range of general foot care services. You need your feet, right? So whatever the reason for your foot problems we'll use innovative diagnostic procedures to pinpoint the issue. And it's only a matter of time before you start to feel the relief!
The rigid orthotic provides the ultimate support for your foot and control of your gait pattern. These devices are made from plaster casts taken specifically from your foot and sent to a laboratory to be custom-made from prescription. The waiting time is approximately three weeks. We also stock a full range of accommodative off-the-shelf devices for your immediate foot support.
Sports Podiatry includes the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of your injury or sports related complaint. Assessment and treatment is often relative to the sport you are involved in. Treatment involves a wide range of modalities, ranging from soft tissue management, orthotic therapy and footwear advice, to a rehabilitation program that allows you to return to the sport of your choice.
Biomechanics is understanding the science of how forces act on the foot and leg during human movement. Your assessment involves an examination of the lower limbs, looking at their structure, alignment, strength and weaknesses. These forces may originate from muscles, tendons, fascia, abnormal joint movement, footwear or injury.
Surgical removal of plantar warts with local anesthetic with phenolisation could be an option to consider as a last resort where topical treatments such as Cryotherapy & Salicylic acid treatments do not work. Our podiatrists are happy to fully explain these procedures and advise about suitability of such options.
