Psychology One
We provide client-centred, evidence-based, and individualised psychological treatment to each client, and a wide range of specialty areas are covered by our team. Our reception staff will match you with a practitioner who has the area of expertise for the issues you are facing. We offer a range of appointment times including some evenings and Saturdays.

The majority of our team has postgraduate degrees and/or additional skills that enhance their clinical and therapy skills, including research, management, corporate training, university lecturing, yoga teaching or meditation teaching. Every therapist participates in regular professional development activities that ensure we are up to date with the most recent developments in the field of psychology.
Services
Under Medicare's Better Access to Mental Health Care Program, Psychologists and Clinical Social Workers can provide approved focused psychological strategies and psychological therapies for a broad range of commonly experienced mental health problems including depression, anxiety, panic, bipolar, phobias, substance issues, sleep problems, grief, loss and trauma related conditions.
Some private health funds pay rebates for clinical psychological services, provided that you have 'extras' cover. It is advised that you check with your health fund about their eligibility requirements before making an appointment. Once you have checked with your health fund and received a suitable referral from your Doctor if required, you can contact us to make an appointment.
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) aims to support employees affected by personal, family and/or work related issues. Informal, confidential face-to-face counselling sessions are offered and aimed to assist you to clarify the issue, identify options and develop strategies to approach future concerns.
Psychological treatment under Workers Compensation involves a collaborative approach between your Clinician (Psychologist or Clinical Social Worker) and the relevant parties relating to your claim (eg.

You can be referred for treatment under Workers Compensation by either your Rehabilitation Provider, your Insurer, your Nominated Treating Doctor or your Employer however overall approval must be obtained from your Insurer Claims Manager prior to proceeding with any services.This involves Psychology One liaising with your Insurer to seek approval for an initial assessment.
