Hi there, my name is Max and I'm the founder and principal dentist at Dental on Flinders. I have three goals in mind when I treat my patients: focus on prevention, minimally invasive treatment, and transparency about fees and processes.
Dental on Flinders aims to provide all aspects of general dentistry to a very high standard with a focus on prevention. Dental decay, or caries is a common disease, which causes cavities and discoloration of both permanent and "baby" teeth. As the disease progresses in a tooth it becomes weaker and its nerve may be damaged.
Our mission at Dental on Flinders is to focus on prevention. Regular dental examinations are central to this. We will ensure that every effort is put in place to help prevent dental problems. Also any existing problems will be spotted early so any treatment can be performed as conservatively as possible.
Many people don't realise the importance of professional cleans. Sometimes there is a misconception that brushing at home is all that's needed to maintain dental health. Although good oral hygiene at home is very important, hard tartar (also known as dental calculus) cannot be removed without a professional clean.
Teeth grinding is one of the most dangerous things that can happen to your teeth. A cavity will affect one tooth, but grinding your teeth can irreversibly damage a dozen teeth or more. Grinding is all the more dangerous as it often happens whilst we are asleep, so diagnosing it in its early stages can be difficult.

A HUGE shout out to the Dental on Flinders team. Dr Max and his dream team is truly a difficult act to follow. I cannot agree more with all the previous ++ reviewers. From emergency ph call for a broken tooth to the entire gamut of services as required, no up-sell - I would say faultless. Professional to the core but so personable and enjoyably interactive. It did not feel like having a complicated dental procedure at all. The outcome, a repaired tooth like new! Thank you. I definitely would recommend DoF to everyone. Even if you don’t need dental work. They are a fun crowd.

I’ve been going to Dental on Flinders for more than five years now. The staff are incredible from the reception team to the dentist team. I feel welcomed, safe and enjoy visiting the dentist (I know that’s impossible to believe but it’s the truth). The range of service and technology available is brilliant and they truely want what is best for their clients.

I’m really impressed of the service provided by this clinic. Dr Max is so gentle and patience. He is honest and provide his professional advice without being pushy or pressurised you to choose an expensive option. I’m really happy with his repair job on my broken tooth. Nancy has a loud voice but she is really a beautiful soul like a big mama. She will distract your attention to TV or music away from those horrible dental job noise. Actually everyone is so relax and friendly and make you feel at home. I strongly recommend this clinic and service to everyone. Oh yes I also like their Tooth Club

I went in to see Dr. Callum North for my first filling and cannot recommend him highly enough! The process was pain free and he talked me through all the steps. Callum made me feel really comfortable, he was very professional and honest and the experience was great! Definitely will be seeing Callum for all my future check ups. All the staff are super friendly and efficient.

Easy location and great friendly staff from the moment you walk in. During my check up, clean and filling, I felt very informed of the procedure and all the staff were attentive, constantly checking that I was not in pain during my filling. They also have an online portal that allows me to see all the details spoken about during the appointment including visual illustration to high light problem teeth. Would highly recommend.

Every single staff member at this clinic is so friendly and professional. Dr Max in particular is an absolute star. As someone who has had extensive dental work throughout their life and has visited many dentists, I can easily attest that Dr Max is the most incredibly talented and kind dentist I have ever come across. The clinic has beautiful views of Flinders St Station, and they seem to always have the coolest and latest technology in dentistry available. I had the pleasure of having my chipped tooth fixed by Dr. Max today on such short notice. I rang through this morning and within the hour I was seen and my tooth was fixed. The entire experience was phenomenon and second to none. Melissa and the rest of the team we’re very nice and super professional. Besides being extremely happy with my treatment result, I was also given a goody bag before I left.
