Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy or ESWT, is a non-invasive, non-surgical option for the treatment of heel pain (plantar fasciitis). The plantar fascia is a strong ligament structure that helps to maintain the structure and arch of the foot. It extends from the base of the toes to the heel bone. Plantar Fasciitis is caused by overuse or injury.
Laser Therapy is a new treatment which has proved to be successful for a number of conditions involving the feet. We currently utilise laser for the treatment of fungal nail infections and for treatment of plantar warts. Fungal nail infections of the toe can be an unsightly problem that is quite difficult to treat.
