Mark grew up in far western Queensland and NT on extensive cattle stations. Upon graduating he took up his first vet job in Dorrigo in 1983. Later that year he was the sole vet at the Dorrigo practice, and ultimately bought the practice in 1986. Since then he has moved "down the hill" to Bellingen to concentrate more on "smallies" after many years working on "largies".

At the Bellingen Veterinary Hospital we are really passionate about pet insurance and this is why. What we do as vets is really expensive to do and it means we have to charge a lot to cover the costs of providing that service. Now I actually hate talking money when you come in with your pet and it is sick.

Was on a holiday from Sydney when I spotted a mystery injury on my dog's bum that I thought could've been a bite from another dog (we'd been mucking around at the dog beach). Googled vets nearby and ended up here and was very impressed. Staff on the phone were very friendly, then I had a triage consultation with the vet nurse. I felt she gave a very thorough check over of my baby and provided sensible advice about next steps. Then a few days later they called me to see how it was all going. Really impressive service. Thank you so much.
