We hold an Australian Financial Services Licence and are authorized to advise and deal in the full spectrum of general insurance products. We are responsible for the financial services provided to you, or through you to your family members, including the distribution of the FSG. We are required to meet high standards for staff training, organisational competence, management expertise, financial control and compliance disciplines.
In the event of loss or damage which may give rise to a claim, please notify us as soon as possible. Colour photographs and other documentary evidence to show the extent of the loss or damage. Correspondence exchanged with the carriers and other parties regarding their liability and the loss or damage.
Transit Insurance, commonly known as Cargo Insurance or Freight Insurance, covers the loss or damage of cargo between the points of origin and the final destination. This is for 'one off' consignments of goods that are transported domestically or overseas.
Unless stated otherwise in your sales agreement or insurance schedule, the insurance will commence from the time the goods leave the warehouse or place of storage at the named destination for the commencement of transit, continues during the ordinary course of transit and terminates upon delivery to the consignee or nominated destination.This is a 'blanket cover' for ongoing consignments of goods transported domestically and/or overseas.

I can’t speak highly enough of HWA Insurance Brokers/Freight Insurance Services International. I recently moved from Perth to Albany, and I was looking for transit insurance. The removal company I used offered insurance, but the premium was very high, and the exclusions numerous. After a web search I stumbled across HWA/FISI. I requested a quote and was surprised that not only was the premium less than 1/4 of what I had been been quoted by the removal company, the exclusions were far less restrictive. Great value for money compared to the shipping agencies and extremely efficient . Application very easy and a claim was astonishingly swift. Despite the fact that i had a large container full of effects only two items were cracked on delivery. After contract with the insurance company an fulfilling their claim/refund requirements I was paid within 3 days of submitting the claim. So bravo to IFI
