Being a good pet owner, I checked in with the waiter if we could sit on the deck out front or had to continue to sit on the table on the grass out front for dinner (happy either way). The waiter replied that dogs were not welcome at any time and owners will be refused service. He stated the if the manager saw a dog she would freak out. Get with the times Ocean Beach Hotel! the majority of dog owners enjoy taking their pets out for a meal with their family especially when our pets are well behaved. Dog owners, take your business elsewhere and support business that are pet friendly!

Very poor food, service no better. Even something as simple as a kids cheeseburger was burnt and no care from the staff when addressed nicely.
Tables sticky and obviously not cleaned regularly.
Disgusted most of all by the lack of care by the hotel for the surroundings/ community areas with the rubbish from the venue laying around the premises very obviously not just from same day. It was disgusting along the back deck and side steps.
The only good thing was the view which you can enjoy more from a stroll along the beachfront. If I could give a minus rating I would.

Pub in Shellharbour Village with a great view of the sea and surrounding parklands. Huge outdoor seating area.
Menu was your normal pub fare, however they do do seafood platters. Ordered the fish & chips, salt & pepper calamari and cheesy garlic bread. The food was tasty and portions were OK - fish & chips could have used more chips. Prices were OK (your paying for the view). Staff were generally friendly.

My friends and I have dined at this venue many times in the past with varying degrees of satisfaction..we decided to give it another go but we were so disappointed in the food!!!! The venue itself is in a wonderful location with fabulous views, the service was satisfactory...but if you can't back it up with good food what's the point. You shouldn't be able to mess up a Caesar salad or a Scotch fillet if you're a chef, obviously they have a cook..and not a good one at that!!!!

Small menu, not a heap to choose from. Basic 3 types of steak, a combo of fresh and fried seafood items with a few salads and pastas. Not much by way of indoors seating. Best to make a reservation as walk ins means you will end up outside which is fine if the weather is favourable. The views are great. The pub which connects to the bistro gets a bit rowdy. So not ideal for a quiet romantic dinner or family dining. Years ago they used to have an awesome kids menu that came with a bowl of fresh fruit salad. My daughter got a chicken schnitzel with chips and a piece of watermelon on the plate. It

This place is extremely overrated. It was the worst food we've eaten in years and it was expensive too. My local take away serves better fish and chips and they do it 70% cheaper. The fish was very dry but the chips were ok. The calamari was nice but the oysters were the smallest I've ever seen. I should report them to fisheries authorities as it must be illegal to have oysters that small? The hamburger and chips cost $18 and even the kids wouldn't eat it.
The Coke from the tap was terrible too. It had a very nasty aftertaste.
The place is not wheelchair or pram friendly. All the tables are so
