Eltham Woods Child Care Cooperative is a unique centre situated in a bush setting, amongst the gumtrees and away from main roads. We are a community based non=profit centre. Parent involvement is encrouaged in many ways, from the Committee of Management to being actively involved in your child's program.
Our program is based on the National Early Years Learning Framework. Through individual observation and interactions with children our educators develop stimulating programs that assist children to further their development in all areas of their development. We also have a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to provide our children with a fully funded kindergarten program for children preparing to transition to school the following year.

Services
The focus of Eltham Woods Childcare Cooperative (EWCC) is to create an inclusive, home like environment that enhances all aspects of children's development whilst remaining warm and welcoming. We believe that children, families and staff are all integral parts of the Eltham Woods community and that each has a unique contribution to make to the centre.
Eltham Woods Child Care Cooperative is made up of a team of highly educated early childhood professionals who hold all a qualification in children's services. Our educators also undergo regular training in first aid, anaphylaxis management, asthma management, OHS, child protection and children's development.
In the first instance the Centre Coordinator is available to assist families who have questions or concerns. However Eltham Woods has a Grievance Procedure which also allows you to escalate any concerns to the Committee of Management for resolution. Yes we offer a funded kindergarten program in our possum room. Our kindergarten program operates 4 days per week, with our kindergarten having 1 day a week to program. The days that the program runs is determined by the children enrolled in the program, please contact the Centre Coordinator on 9431 1370 to check the arrangements for the year in which your child reaches kindergarten age.
Apart from the opportunity to contribute to the operation of the Centre and actively support your child and other children in the community by providing this valuable service, families are also eligible to have some or all the annual levies waived.
