Centre For Effective Living
Website
From small steps to the bigger goals we are here to support and empower your mental health and wellbeing to live an effective life. The Centre for Effective Living is a Psychology and Well-Being practice serving the Upper North Shore of Sydney. Established in 2012 with one Psychologist working out of Westleigh, we have grown to become a group practice with a combined team experience of over 50 years.

We have become an integrative, one stop service which includes psychology, dietetics, occupational therapy and couples and family counselling. High standards have been set in place, such that we continuously shape and challenge each other's practice. Therefore, when you see one of us, you get the benefit of all of our collective experience.
Services
Established in 2012 with one Psychologist working out of Westleigh, a Hornsby shire suburb. Since then we have become a group of Psychologists and Health professionals serving the wider Sydney community. We are committed to providing evidence based treatment to all ages. Our clients find the rooms accessible, with good parking.
Valerie Ling, MClin Psych, BA(Hons), MAPS, has helped clients of all ages find their voice and their way. Valerie has worked in community health settings as well as hospital inpatient and outpatient settings. Her private practice work has been located previously in North Turramurra, North Ryde and now in Westleigh.
The Centre for Effective Living offers a range of psychological and health services to individuals and organisations through our Gordon practice. We take a collaborative, caring and understanding approach to counselling, therapy and assessments. Child psychology is a specialised field that focuses on the mental, emotional & developmental wellbeing of children.
A 'Done List' changes our focus from what is hanging over our heads on our never-ending 'To-Do List', and instead centres our perspective on what we've already achieved, however small. Download your free 'Done List' template, created by Emily Bemmer, Psychologist. This is part of our 6-module course - Concrete Steps(TM).
We are Supportive, we are professional, we are highly experienced and trained - and we behave like a team. This is not an isolated private practice experience. With opportunities for peer support, innovative and meaningful niche work - we are always on the lookout for team members to join us in our private practice journey.
