Gentle Dental Centre (formerly Lakewood Dental Centre) is a caring dental practice in Wanneroo where we believe in delivering personalised service. Our name encompasses how we practice dentistry, with gentle softness both clinically and personally. Gentle Dental Centre is a small practice owned by Dr Sherry Wong, who is disappointed in the way dentistry is becoming more production focussed due to large corporate buyouts.
Dr Sherry is a highly empathetic person and wants to provide dental services which she, as a patient, would expect. Her mother Salli (also in the health profession as a nurse in aged care) taught her to always "treat others how you would like to be treated" and this philosophy is at the heart of Gentle Dental's core values.

Services
Our amazing principal dentist Dr Sherry Wong graduated from UWA in 2008. She is a country girl from Australind (20 mins north of Bunbury) so as soon as she graduated, moved up north to Karratha to gain a wide range of experience as a country dentist. This meant that Sherry finely attuned her skills very quickly, with the ability to diagnose and treat a very broad range of dental situations.
When you phone or drop in, you'll speak to Amanda, our wonderful manager. Feel free to have a good long chat to her about your concerns as she will communicate to our caring dentists Dr Sherry, Dr Emmanuel and Dr Catherine what you need when you're in for your appointment. Your first appointment is always an extended consult so you have time to ask any questions.

I have never in my life been to such a fantastic easy going dentist. we live out of town and to say they were flexible to fit us in is an understatement. my daughter needed work along with my husband and myself and to do this they worked through lunch breaks, past clock off times and what they did to make my daughter happy was out of this world. … if you need dental work and you've been putting it off. stop! click off face book and give the beautiful ladies a call because you will thank yourself you went in. if you have a child who needs work done....call them! they are who you want for

I’m so happy to have found Gentle Dental Centre. After a long time between appointments due to dental anxiety, I found dentists and staff who I trust implicitly, and are so kind and gentle. I’m now with Dr Emmanuel, who has done so much great and extensive work on my mouth. If you are nervous about seeing a dentist, I can 100% recommend Gentle Dental Centre to look after you.

Worst dental service ever. I have not been done a proper scan when I had my check-up and was told I only need a filling. The lady at the reception was really rude and disrespectful. I came for my booking and was rudely sent home even thought the slot was booked. I was then told to wait 2 weeks more for my treatment although I told them I was in pain. Over the week, due to the strong pain, I had to go to an emergency dentist (my old dentist in Stoke) which eventually told me I have a strong infection and need to do a Root Canal for 2 teeth. Because the teeth are infected I need to take strong antibiotics

Absolutely disgraceful place. The receptionist was rude, the doctor was uncaring, my girlfriend got an infection in her teeth and they couldn't even be bothered to make an x-ray but was asked to pay for the full treatment (band 2) even though they only did a check-up. She was sent home and booked in for a filling. She came for her booking when they told her the doctor cannot see her although she had a booking. She stated that she cannot wait because it is really painful but was sent home with a "sorry there's nothing we can do" attitude regardless. Disgusting people. I was on a business trip at

Thank you so much to Sherry, Amanda and all the team for what can only be described as 'the most positive dental experience' I have ever had. At 55 years old and with teeth that are complex in structure, I have had a 'lifetime of fear and anxiety', especially in regard to extractions. No one likes going to the dentist but Dr Sherry at Gentle Dental makes you feel at ease. The clinic is very hygienic, everything is brand new and I love the idea of having a tv on the ceiling to keep your mind off what's going on in your mouth. Dr Sherry is very friendly and gentle like is says in the name. I also feel that being one of the youngest dentist I have been to she uses current techniques and I feel more confident in her skills. Couldn't recommend Gentle Dental enough.

Following another dentist advising that my son needed 4 wisdom teeth extracted and that it would require a specialist and on top of that they claimed we couldn't use his government school assistance....i searched for an alternative...and so so very pleased I did.....the whole team at this clinic are amazing!! No specialist required...as they are Specialist already! No additional costs ! No anxiety from my son as they kept him calm through out the whole process! Cannot recommend them enough...they are stars

My granddaughter was too scared to go to school dentist and would not let them touch her. I took her to Gentle Dental Centre and the rest is history, the dentist and staff are amazing as well as having a TV on the ceiling with a collection of kids movies she could pick and watch is a fantastic idea.
