Dr Kalis attained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Sydney with First Class Honours in 1994 and following a course of postgraduate study, a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Dentistry from the University of Adelaide in 2007. He is committed to ongoing training and professional development, attending numerous courses and educational programs every year, both locally and abroad.

We seek to provide each and every one of our patients with the same standard of care and treatment that we would expect for ourselves and our families. Our focus is on providing comprehensive highly thorough dental care but at the same time knowing that dentistry is a very personal experience we do so with a high level of sensitivity and attunement.
There are several options for parking near us, directly opposite there is a small car park which offers 2 hours free, there is ample street parking for 1 hour and we are located in front of the commuter car park but this is generally fully occupied after 8.30am, you might get a space if your appointment is after 4pm.
A comprehensive assessment to determine your optimal treatment plan. On your first visit to our practice we schedule you a full 1-hour appointment with one of our dentists. We complete a thorough comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums which includes radiographic x-rays and an OPG.
Once we have gathered all the necessary information about your dental health we are able to put together a complete treatment plan for your short and long term care.Having this time with you prior to starting any treatment allows us to form a relationship with you and it gives time for you to feel comfortable in our care.

Dr Bill and the team made me feel so comfortable since my first appointment last year . They have guided me get my teeth back healthy and white in a way that I understood and was comfortable with. Funny enough I enjoy coming to the dentist every 3 - 6 months for routine check ups. Definitely recommend

When my husband left me for another lady I was so hurt and I used to cry every day. Whenever I could miss him I could just close my bedroom and cry because I never wanted my kids to see me crying. It was tough… times to endure the stress and at work, I could not perform well being a nurse I work with on many people but I could be moody and could even lose tempers for small things my colleagues complained and I signed many warnings before the matron.

I have just visited the most friendly dentist and staff on the planet.
I can write this as I am the most person afraid of dentists.
They made me feel so at ease with everything. I know what needs to be done and how it’s going to be doneI know how much it will cost and I have made my next 2 appointments. To have me going back they tick all my boxes and more.
Thanks to Bill, Christine, and all the other staff see you next week

I only recently discovered this wonderful practice because my regular dentist was on the other side of town and COVID lockdown made travelling so far very challenging. From my first visit I was impressed by the wonderful team approach and the initial consultation was very much a combination of questioning, examination and discussion of how best to approach my specific needs. All the staff put me totally at ease and there is a bright and friendly vibe in the practice.

I have been to numerous local and not so local dentists over recent years. However I was never happy with any despite several visits. Now I have found the best dentist ever. I suffer anxiety when visiting dentists just for a check up, yet Dr Kalis and his extremely warm and welcoming staff eased my fears immediately. The team at Padstow Dental Centre go above and beyond for patient care. I recently went to Padstow Dental Centre as a recommendation from a friend, and I am so glad I did.
Dr Bill and the team are always so friendly and informative. Christine gave my teeth the best clean I've ever had, she was very helpful with giving me tips on how to best clean my teeth.
As someone who does not live in the Padstow area, it is definitely worth the travel.

I recently visited Padstow Dental Centre as I knew I had some fillings that needed to be done but had been avoiding for some years as just thinking about going to the dentist would make me think of a million other things I could consider more important and less daunting! Going to the dentist has always put me in a state of panic……UNTIL NOW!!! What an AMAZING experience! From the moment I walked into the practice, I was pleasantly surprised at not only the welcoming I received but also the level of service and attention which was dedicated to me by the entire staff. I had my teeth cleaned today with Christine the Oral Therapist at Padstow Dental & she was unbelievable! I have had sensitivity for years so it scares me to death the mere thought of having a clean but she was amazing, so gentle and so thorough. I felt no pain, no jolts no fear. So happy with the whole team here it truly was a surprisingly pleasant experience!

Reading previous reviews I decided to book a consultation with the team down at Padstow Dental Centre.
My experience during the consul was awesome, Dr Bill Kalis and his team worked with me and built a plan to achieve my health and smile goals.
I have now had over 10+ sessions with the team, and they have honestly changed my life! I have had a double root Canal, 13 fillings and started my teeth whitening just recently. (Plus a general clean 😬)
Every session was comfortable and pain free! I literally enjoy going!

Went in for the consult 2 weeks ago not knowing what to expect but I came out of that first meeting feeling like I had a team behind me.
2nd appointment 8 teeth removed. The team went above and beyond what even I was expecting. less then 24 hours after the teeth pulled.... no pain.
still along way to go for my smile to be there. but truly happy to have found a thorough and thoughtful team with Padstow Dental Center.

If there were 10 stars, Dr Bill and his team would get them all.. Every single staff member is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. My chipped tooth was flawlessly fixed - colour, shape + position... You wouldn’t even know it was broken in half! Dr Bill’s work is just wonderful - his attention to detail is amazing; he’s the ultimate perfectionist, which is exactly what you want for your teeth and smile.
