Dr. Zoya Jamshidi is a highly qualified clinical and counselling psychologist registered with the AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Zoya holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Psychology from The University of Sydney, and a Doctorate degree in Counselling Psychology from Macquarie University.
The fee for a standard treatment session (50-60 minutes) varies depending on the psychologist seen (Approx. Under the Medicare Benefits Scheme, individuals receiving psychological treatment are eligible for a substantial rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
In order to obtain these rebates, a Mental Health Care Plan is needed from your G.P. In most cases, the Medicare rebate can be claimed on the spot once the full fee has been paid for the session.You may also be able to claim rebates from your private health fund depending on your level of cover. You do not need a referral from a Doctor to make an appointment.
