Dr Robert Banks-Smith established Wattletree Road Dental Care in 1988 in a historical Victorian home situated at 84 Wattletree Road, Armadale, on the corner of Gladstone Avenue. More than 20 years later, the team continues to provide a dedicated service to the Malvern and Armadale areas of Melbourne.
Dr Banks-Smith has a long family history of dental surgeons. His father practiced in Collins Street, Melbourne before they opened their first Malvern practice together above the National Bank on the corner of Wattletree and Glenferrie Road in 1977.

Dr Robert Banks-Smith runs the Wattletree Road Dental Care practice. He studied at the University of Melbourne, first gaining a science degree majoring in microbiology and then a degree in dental science. He also has a graduate diploma in computer science from Latrobe University.
He provides the general dentistry that we all require to maintain our dental health and appearance and has extensive experience in the placement of crowns and bridges as well as cosmetic restorations such as veneers, composite fillings and whitening.Today Dr Banks-Smith continues to strive for cutting edge dental applications and to push the boundaries of modern dentistry.

Wattletree Road Dental Care offers on-the-spot health fund claims through HICAPS. The practice welcomes Veteran Affairs and participates with Medicare in providing dental work to patients eligible for government subsidies. There is convenient, off-street parking at rear, accessed from Gladstone Avenue.

Let me start by saying that for the past 5 years that I've been coming here the dental professionals here are amazing. Specifically the hygenist's and the dentists. The front desk personnel on the other hand are extremely unprofessional. They lack customer service skills and are a detriment to this business. I came to my scheduled appointment in pain to be notified that my appointment was cancelled after I had already confirmed it because they said I reached my maximum biillable for the year. What was upsetting was that I had explained I had a new insurance plan but I was treated less then and

I honestly couldn’t be more thankful! They are professional and so caring. I am excited to finally have found a practice that not only cares for their patients but that actually listens to them and make them regain confidence. I was losing hope and felt like everywhere i went i was being financially mistreated or ridiculed which subsequently made me neglect my own oral health. Now i can finally look forward to my appointment and be optimistic! :)

I have been going to Malvern Dental for over 25 years ,my kids have all been going there as well, my kids are now all adults and they still go there I have recommended them to several people as well I wouldn't go to anyone else the staff are great, very polite and friendly they all treat you like family , best place you could go, they are also great with little kids, I wouldn't go anywhere else and would recommend them to anyone 😀 😊 😉

I recently had a wisdom teeth extraction surgery and it went smoothly! From the surgery preparation to the actual procedure and aftercare, the staff was always so kind and patient, and ensured to make me feel comfortable during the entire process. I've recovered very fast too, with little to no swelling or pain, all thanks to their great job :) Thank you so much to Sabrina, Avjeet, and Dr. Singh!

Malvern Town Centre's service and professionalism has declined severely over the years. This was my entire family's dentist office for over 10 years, and I can confidently advise your to search elsewhere for any service and procedure. I highly urge you to especially do a Wisdom Tooth extraction surgery elsewhere, and if you cannot, think twice about which doctor will preform your surgery. In my preliminary appointment, Sabrina advised that I will not feel any pain throughout the extraction, but then during the extraction I felt pain as there was not enough local anesthesia given to me. I had an amazing experience here. I was very nervous about the procedure. Dr. Singh, answered all my questions. Dr. Singh, made the procedures very comfortable. No complications after. I didn't take antibiotics or pain killers.

I had an amazing experience here. I won't lie, I was very nervous about getting my wisdom teeth pulled, especially when I was told that one of them was impacted. But Dr. Singh made the procedure very comfortable and performed it wonderfully. No complications and no pain after! I cant believe I was so worried.
