It's a smaller not pretentious salon with the ability to create cutting edge styles.like the name implies. Stylist are ranked on a expertise level scale, so prices will vary per stylist. You don't feel intimidated by other clients or the atmosphere so it's a personal, relaxing, experience where you come out feeling good about yourself.

Unfortunately, I moved to Colorado and I am so sad that I can’t have Taylor do my hair. It's been a few months since I started seeing Christen here and I'm still so happy about it. Not only does she take great care of my hair, but her coloring skills are top notch. Because my hair was damaged prior to coming here, I've been on the hunt for products to pamper my hair and she has recommended nothing but winners. I appreciate that they don't try to hustle you or sell you anything you don't need or want, but if you are in need of good products for your hair (especially the holy grail Olaplex ), they have it here and it won't break the bank.

I made an appointment for my daughter 3 weeks ago. I was asked what services and I advise hair coloring. Midnight blue one all over color. We went in today and after 30 minutes we were told that the best they could do was a dark color with hints of blue which looked like just normal dark brown hair dye. Then the stylist Addison tells me that they need black dye to give my daughter what she wants and that unfortunately they were out because they used all the black on a customer Friday.

I got my hair professionally colored for the first time yesterday by Marietta. I booked my appointment with the intention of doing a brown-to-blonde balayage, which Marietta warned me may not turn out the way I want in only one session, so we opted for her suggestion of blonde highlights and a dark root. When we washed the bleach out, I have to admit I was a little scared by all the platinum streaks but Marietta did a beauuutiful job with the roots and toner. I needed a haircut quickly because of a trip I am leaving for the next day and this salon got me in IMMEDIATELY and paired me with Leslie. She was so kind and nice and did a fantastic job with my haircut, I have honestly never really loved my haircuts but whatever she did was amazing and the way she styled it afterwards was so beautiful/ gave me texture and wave so I want to learn how she styled my hair now lol. Definitely coming back, and the price was very fair 👍 happy to have found such a great place

I kept my hair long for my wedding but as soon as the wedding was over, I was ready to chop it off. I wanted to donate my hair and go short. I walked in told my assigned stylist, Marietta, I wanted it all gone. I showed her some photos of styles I had considered and she was quick to pick the one she thought would fit me. She worked wonders and I LOVE my hair. She’s also super personable and very welcoming.
When I got home, my husband said “whoever did your hair, too should keep going to them. They did a really good job.”

I have came here twice now and both times have left with orange hair. My hair lifts to a very light color blonde but both times I have have my stylist tone me to a orange blonde when I have specified I do not any orange. The staff is sweet but very frustration that I have spent 300+ both times now and not received what I wanted. Don't go here it's a waste of time and money.

I usually see Hannah but I love Leslie!! She's new but she's so good, I loved how she took her time and offered not only a great service but excellent customer service. She asked if I needed water or anything else throughout my service, which was so nice, I'm always to shy to ask for anything. She also asked a lot of questions about what I wanted which was great, she also ( this being the best part) she massaged my head!!! Yes like oddly enough I'll pay 200-300$ for my hair and they won't massage my head. I think this is great because it allows the client to relax a few

This salon is AMAZING!!! I've been going here for about 2 years now, and Christen is my stylist and she is a wizard at cutting and styling hair. I just wanted to praise this business because they announced that they are still requiring masks for service which is such a relief during all of this craziness during a pandemic! I have been going to cutting edge for almost a year now to color my greys.Unfortunately the color doesnt last for more than two weeks.My stylist keeps assuring me that they use redken grey coverage color but the color wont last for more than two weeks.After two weeks i start seeing grey hair again in abundance.Not sure if its an issue with redken color as a product not staying on my greys.I barely wash my hair and wear a hat when outdoors.Secondly due to pandemic we are supposed to wear masks throughout the appt which causes the stylist to miss coloring the grey hair near the ears and sideburns

I've been coming to Cutting Edge for years and recommended Jackie. She is awesome with hair color. Jackie was booked so my daughter set up an appointment with another stylist. She called me crying after it was over. The lady cut off more than 3 inches of her hair and it is very uneven. See the pictures below. I don't know what happened!! This was my first time ever coming to this salon. I booked my appointment online with the first available stylist, and came in for my appointment around 7:15 Friday evening. Hannah was my stylist, and I will say, she was not welcoming at all. I could tell she was tired and rushing to just get me out of the chair. I AM SO IMPRESSED! Where do I even start?! I messaged Cutting Edge at about 11pm at night on yelp and received a msg back right away! I was booked that night for their next open day with Alaina. Alaina explained what she was doing every step of the way and was so transparent with what I wanted and what she could get me to. Let's be real. Krystyna is dope. My hair looks MILES better than it did before when I was going to the barber. It's the difference between having someone sculpt your hair and someone just buzzing - which all depends on your mood - but if I want to look badass without having to worry about the way it grows out (which has been great) & have an overall even & super detailed cut she is the go-to.

Go see Krystyna!!! This girl works her scissors like a magic wand, making impossible happen with most difficult/edgy haircut styles. I am not exaggerating and my pictures are proof themselves. In the last year the staff has almost entirely turned over, not sure what the big hiatus was over... but all new stylists. So if you are looking at the reviews, then many are for stylists who are long gone.

Scheduled an appointment and went in for a hair cut. No one thought it was necessary to ask what kind of haircut I got until I got into the chair. Turns out no one knows how to do that cut. Now the haircut I needed and was prepared for is now gone and have to urgently look for another appointment.
If the stylist have limited ability it would be beneficial to know when one calls for the appointment.

I have never had good experiences with hair stylists until I went here. I saw Taylor Vincent who is a new stylist there who is crazy talented. I went in to see her with a damaged, orange, faded mess and walked out literally feeling like a new person. She is not only great at what she does but she is very fast and efficient. She does great styling, color, and cut--a definite triple threat. I always recommend Taylor to people. She's definitely amazing.
UPDATE: Taylor killed it again! Wanted to add more blonde and we are slowly getting there! She ROCKS!
