Children's Choice is a family owned child care centre and our philosophy reflects our belief in working in Partnership with Parents to help children achieve their optimum development and belief in their ability, through a curriculum based on "play" and children having a choice through inquiry based learning.
We strive to be an early childhood centre that fosters a community of learners, where children are encouraged to participate and explore, where learning is interactive, experimental and socially constructed. A child's educational journey is summed up by Jacques Delors (1996) who believes democratic education is through: Learning to be, learning to do, learning to learn and learning to live together.
At Children's Choice, we encourage our children to learn through play and take an holistic approach to learning and development. We include a variety of developmentally appropriate activities in our plans for each day, and children are free to choose which experiences they would like to enjoy. Our role is to guide and support children as they learn things for themselves through play.
No need to worry about bringing food for your child, because we provide nutritious healthy meals with no artificial colours or flavours. Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon tea. We have a 4 week rotating menu with three cooked meals per week. Meals are freshly cooked or prepared each day.
My daughter has been at Children's Choice for almost 2 years. In that two years the ladies at this centre have been nothing but amazing, when my daughter is striving to learn something they are always accommodating towards it. I love that they document milestones that children can take home with them for us parents to read.

Always got my babys best intentions an always continues to go above and beyond from every staff member. Amanda is the best understanding manager along with her staff, miss Bec, Dana, Brittany, Bonnie, to name a few right down to the bus lady in the morning, all are so caring an fun. I'd recommend in a heart beat. they do go above an beyond.
