Yellow Brick Counseling
I am a person-centered, humanistic, integrative, trauma - informed counsellor and psychotherapist, currently based in Melbourne, Australia. I have practiced in the field of counselling and psychotherapy since 2011, in Australia, India and Cambodia. Along with a level 4 membership with the Australian Counselling Association, I hold a Master of Science in Applied Psychology.

I have specializations in Art Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing and Trauma Informed Healing. I work with individuals, couples and families and am truly interested in what my clients have to say. I am warm, approachable, non-judgmental and compassionate towards my clients. I believe in person-centered counselling, which means that psychotherapy is tailored and customized to the needs and personalities of my clients.
Services
The name Yellow Brick was chosen keeping in mind the theme of the Yellow Brick Road in the story - Wizard of Oz. In this tale, a group of companions - the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and Dorothy a little girl, embark on a journey to find their way to the Land of Oz. They were told that in following the Yellow Brick Road they would find safety and reach Oz unharmed.
When it comes to counselling and psychotherapy there is no sure-shot, one-way-is-the-right-way approach that can be taken. Counselling for any client revolves around specific attributes related to that client, for example the issue at hand, the readiness for change, how receptive a client is, their rate of growth, the degree to which they feel safe as well as their personality traits, specific life experiences and general outlook to life.
At Yellow Brick Counseling we believe counselling and psychotherapy should be available and inclusive of all ages and genders. To realize this vision we offer counselling services to individuals, couples, families, the aged and to adolescents. Counselling and psychotherapy for such a vast clientele covers a large range of challenges and developmental stages that are familiar to each one of us as we all walk through these phases in life.

Clients visit the clinic at an appointed date and time in the week and meet with the counsellor in-person. Some clients' may visit the therapist more than once a week depending on the need of the client, others have regular weekly sessions. All sessions require prior bookings. Sessions are safe spaces where you can explore all the things that bother, challenge and frustrate you.

I highly recommend Anugrah, she made me feel comfortable, supported, heard and strong with confronting and overcoming the issues I’ve had all my life. Extremely grateful I gave her and this type of therapy a chance. 10/10 experience :)

Anugraha is very understanding, doesn't judge you and her techniques have helped me deal with personal trauma. I first worked with her when she was in India and now I'm taking online sessions with her. Would definitely recommend her to anyone having a tough time with mental health.

Where to begin?! Anu is helping me so much through my traumas, issues and questions about myself. She is kind and patient, never judgemental about things I feel. She guides me and supports me though difficult moments from my past and current day-to-day life. The different types of therapies we’ve used has been amazing and has helped me process things I needed help with. I’ve now got skills and tools to be able help myself too. I’m so thankful for Anu and for everything she has helped me with!

Anu is empathetic, knowledgeable, and good hands to be in. She has experience with a range of clients and is able to tailor her process to the needs of each client. She will never push you in directions you don't want to go. You can trust her to be non-judgemental and to provide a safe space for you to be vulnerable in.

She is amazing person when it comes to do a counseling. Great thing about her is that she allows the patient to speak without any interruption so that she could get the complete insight of the problem and then of course giving the mind awakening ideas to get over the problem. A positive experience overall for sure. With Anu you feel heard, and she asks pertinent questions that help you delve within. Anu also uses art, a tool that was useful for me on my road to better mental health.
