A very nice meal in Cape Tribulation! Delicious soft shell crab and sesame crusted tuna sashimi was followed by pan seared wild caught barramundi with croquettes and a serve of wild caught barra fish and chips. Barra was cooked to perfection in both meals. Price for two entrees, two mains and two glasses of wine was very reasonable! Service was attentive to begin with, but got more distracted towards the end. We’re assuming that dessert wasn’t on offer as no one asked. Small hitch to an otherwise very pleasant night out.

A nice place to stop off for a delicious meal with the family. Kid friendly. With beautiful views of the vegetation around daintree, this is a stop worth making for a family get together while on vacation! We enjoyed the food and excellent service from staff.

What Beut little place !
Thanks to the two English lads at front of house who were doing a great job with running around with a large influx of patrons when we meandered in one lunchtime. I was a-little worried the wait time was going to be an issue but a perfectly made hot chocolate straight of the bat then soon after an amazing beef burger ( loved the chilli jam ) best chips too ! The potato/ coconut curry wasn’t as liquidy as I though it would be but made up with flavour ! Wowee !! Great place to sit and relax. Shout out to the chefs too !
Thanks to the team at Whet , we will be back next

Great cafe for lunch, great ambience and friendly service. The foods we had were quite good. I had the the vegetarian and chicken curry. The veggie curry was delish but the chicken curry was a little bit too salty for me😉. But, it’s still quite tasty.

Wow! For a place of the grid & self sufficient the food is amazing, what a hidden gem. The steak sandwich was one of the nicest ever & I don’t know what they do with their fries but they have to be the best I’ve had anywhere, especially with their tasty BBQ sauce. Also had an Asian bowl, full of flavour, nice & zesty, was transported back to Asia, so authentic. Went down great with a crisp draught beer. Well done to the couple who run this place!

Hidden gem. Unexpectedly amazing food. Had the burger which was awesome and the barra and chips. So delicious that we’ll be back next time. The bar is pretty cool too and the outdoor dining area is the perfect setting for lunch.

Super Excellent. If you come to this part of planet Earth than you’d be remiss to not eat here! Worth the 21 hours of flight time 3 plane changes, and 200km drive, one ferry crossing and a short hike!

Best place on the Cape for service, food and location. We kinda stumbled across this place after looking at a few other options in the area and glad we did.
Their Seafood stir fry was a stand out especially the grilled tuna..yummy!
