We are a small family business located in Melbourne, Australia. Alan is the jewellery designer who crafts our jewellery. He developed a love for gem stones many years ago. His passion lies in finding perfect gems and turning them into quality jewellery showcasing their natural beauty. The voice of Avant Jewellery is Alan's partner in life, Ursel.
We take pride in sourcing naturally mined gemstones which we set in your choice of gold or silver in our studio in Melbourne. Our gems are sizable, no tiny stones here! Our jewellery is handcrafted, not made in a factory. They'll complement your look with the durability for everyday wear for business and pleasure.
The gem stones we use are not heat treated, irradiated or chemically treated in any way unless stated, and in such cases this is because it is a worldwide standard practice. Avant Jewellery gems are ethically mined and sourced from around the world. We only use suitably durable gem stones to allow everyday wear for a lifetime.
Clarity - you don't want to see inclusions or scratches or fine cracks with bare eyes, and even better under a loupe. These days, stones are grown in laboratories - man made artificial stones that are cheaper but lack what natural gemstones offer. You will want the real thing! Stones like Emeralds are brittle and often have tiny fissures.
At Avant Jewellery we want to give back. That's why we donate all our net profits to charities which work to help and protect the environment here in Australia.
