In 1991, Robert established Hampton Park Automotive Repairs, carrying out mobile repairs in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs.
Our highly trained auto electricians are experienced in all electrical repairs for a wide range of vehicles including cars, trucks, boats, agricultural equipment - in fact, we can repair any vehicle with a 12 or 24 volt DC battery. We are also a leading stockist of reconditioned and new starter motors and alternators, with over 200 in stock.
Here at About Auto, we offer environmentally friendly air conditioning repairs, servicing, re-gassing and installation service for all vehicles. We are able to carry out the work in our fully equipped workshop, or if you prefer, we can come to you with our fully mobile service vehicle. All our work is fully guaranteed with a 12 month/20,000 kilometre warranty.
This is his third year competing as a race car driver, with Roberts competitive nature and full backup from the team at About Auto we should another very successful as the season goes on. Absolutely amazing service. I ended up here on no notice with my dash not working and battery light on!
After a quick check they found the alternator was overcharging and burning out my electrics (or something like that)
They had me back on the road in an hour with new alternator and battery! So much quicker than I was expecting. Not the first time these guys have gone over and above to help out. Highly recommended.

I have used About Auto many times over the past 2-3 years both on my small car and my 4wd. They have always worked so swiftly and professionally. Rob and the boys are so knowledgable and helpful. Robyn in the office is always so welcoming.

Not good service. me and my wife spent over $2500 for both cars to be fully serviced in August 2020 3months ago.Now both cars are leaking alot of engine oil from below..also i had to return my car the next morning due to a big Noise coming from the heater which he denied being responsible for..We wont go back again in the future.
