The name was chosen because it represents the light hearted feeling I want you to take away from our time together. It's also because my name, Lauren Pokrzywa, is hard to get your tongue around. I have a Degree in Media, and two Diplomas in Visual Communication and Photo Imaging. I apply myself wholeheartedly to each and every image and understand that being photographed is an intimidating experience, although it doesn't have to be.
Most people find me through word of mouth from someone who left my studio feeling better than when they arrived and liked the way I captured them. I'm as happy to be working with dogs and children as I am with animals and humans of all kinds. Building a still life to fulfil a brief is another something I enjoy working on.

I recently got corporate headshots with Lauren at Attic Salt. Lauren is a super talented photographer and she is professional, energetic, and engaging. Lauren did a newborn shoot for us back in 2018 and the photos she captured were perfect 😍 We loved them so much that we arranged for Lauren to photograph our next bub in early 2021. Once again, Lauren made the session easy and relaxed despite our very alert son doing his best to make it challenging. She is very easy going, great with babies, knows what she’s doing, and has plenty of props available to choose from. I highly recommend 👍🏻

We recently had a newborn session with Lauren. She has created a beautiful studio environment with an incredible selection of outfits and props to capture amazing images.
The session was very relaxed with time to feed and settle our young baby. Lauren’s caring and patient demeanour made everything feel effortless and enjoyable.
The only difficult part is choosing which photos you like as it’s hard to not want them all. Thanks again Lauren, we can’t wait to work with you in future and will be recommending you to all our friends and family!

Attic Salt is a hidden gem! Booked my other half in for some headshots for work recently and we had a great experience. Lauren managed to make the session really easy going and we had a bit of fun with it, all while still coming away with some really nice professional photos for work! Lauren’s studio is really convenient, close to Crows Nest shops and plenty of buses dropping you literally at the doorstep. Would definitely recommend for quick, hassle free headshots for work. I would highly recommend Lauren - her studio is airy and inviting with a great set up. Lauren took lovely photos of our 10 week old baby and us - she was patient, put us at ease and was generous with her time. I can not recommend Attic Salt more highly. I recently started a new business and required professional photos of myself and colleague for web and social. Lauren made us both feel comfortable, provided excellent direction, and took a range of images to met our needs. What made the experience outstanding was the range of images she suggested which included a board position image, linkedin head shots and consulting business team image. We contacted Lauren to shoot our family maternity shoot at Balmoral Beach and she has exceeded our expectations! Lauren has recently taken our baby girl’s photos. We were so impressed with the quality and style of photos, we ordered extras, as we couldn’t part with some. Lauren was extremely professional, accommodating, very patient and showed an incredible skill in handling a 3 week old baby. Our session was much less stressful and more enjoyable. The studio was very comfortable, worm and Lauren was prepared with number of props to choose from. We definitely would recommend Lauren to our friends and will be back for more sessions with our little one. Thank you Lauren so very much.

Lauren is so great! Easy to organise a shoot, very friendly with a normally shy toddler, she has the perfect props and a great studio. Couldn’t recommend more highly! We will be back for our next baby’s newborn shoot and cannot wait! Oh yes, and the photos are so very perfect, capturing my toddlers cheeky and sweet sides, thank you for giving me a lifetime treasure 😊
