Changes In Between
I provide counselling, coaching and consulting to people experiencing major life change and the tricky parts of change called transition - the changes between the chapters of our lives. The change may be anticipated, unexpected or a dream in your life that hasn't come true. I was a widow at 30 years following the terminal illness and death of my husband.

While I was able to work through my grief with the support of family and friends, there were some aspects that I struggled with for years. At the time, I was searching for a professional with an understanding of loss and grief that could help me. I didn't want to attend a clinic. I wanted someone to come to me, walk alongside me, acknowledging that it was painful and challenging, without passing judgement or making assumptions.
Services
Changes in Between provides assistance to people who are experiencing challenging change and loss. As a result, they may feel overwhelmed about their own identity and their relationship to themselves, others, objects and possessions.

I'm a clinical and mental health counsellor registered with the Psychotherapy and Counsellor Federation of Australia (PACFA); Certified Bereavement Practitioner recognised by the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement; and Certified Thanatologist - study of dying, death and bereavement through the Association for Death Education and Counselling.
Grief is the reaction to a loss or losses. Internal and external grief reactions involve our thoughts, physical and emotional health, beliefs, social connections, and behaviour and actions. Grief may occur in both death and non-death losses which may be anticipated, unexpected or a wish that never happened.
Life coaching can assist you in identifying your life purpose, and improvements to your quality of life and time management. We all experience welcome and unwelcome changes in our life. It may be a new job, baby, house, relationship, illness, injury, or a change in role or family circumstances. Transition is the psychological adjustment required to adapt to change.
During periods of transition, your home, family, work or studies may become secondary. You may start to feel stress and frustration. You may feel overwhelmed and do not know where to start. You may be juggling many activities and constantly feel like you are getting nowhere despite feeling busy most of the day.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support for Australians living with a disability, their families and carers. The item, Improved Daily Living, provides funds to NDIS participants to access therapeutic services for counselling. As an unregistered provider, Changes in Between provides counselling for NDIS participants who are currently plan-managed or self-managed however, cannot currently support NDIA managed participants.
