Conveyancing is the legal process whereby the ownership of real property is transferred from one person or entity to another. This transaction can be done either by a qualified legal practitioner, or a licensed conveyancer. Legal advice before you sign a Contract - we will peruse any potential sale contracts before the auction date for your complete comfort before you commit to purchasing a property.

When buying or selling the property, you can add extra clauses to a sales contract as special conditions. These conditions must be precisely worded to avoid disputes later on. Special Conditions can cover a range of matters such as the need for repairs to be made to the property, to allow for a building inspection or perhaps a termite inspection.

The Certificate of Title will record the present owner, note if the property is currently mortgaged and what rights other people and the wider community may have on the property and which might affect the buyers use and enjoyment of the land. Restrictions on the land are called 'covenants' or 'easements' and can be placed to ensure that it is not used in certain ways or that buildings conform to certain requirements.
