No matter how old or young you are, when you need help moving again, reducing pain, or recovering from surgery, our team will take a hands-on approach to help you achieve your goals. As you might guess from our name, here at Eastern Sports and Spinal Care we have a strong focus on management of Sports and Spinal related injuries from your initial assessment and treatment through to your exercise-related rehabilitation.
There is now an abundance of research supporting the need for individuals to exercise to maintain adequate muscle strength, bone density and cardiovascular fitness to maintain a healthy lifestyle. In addition, when undergoing treatment for serious health issues, for example cancer treatment, research demonstrates a 30% improvement in recovery and survival times if exercise is continued during treatment.
Good balance is essential throughout life to enable us to walk on uneven ground, stand to dress, walk through narrow spaces, bend and pick up things, sidestep to avoid obstacles or save ourselves from tripping. It is much more than being able to stand on one leg. There are many reasons why balancing declines as we age - but the good news is that balance certainly improves with specific training.

I was referred to Libby after sustaining an injury at work and seeing several other physios/ osteos with little to no improvement. Once I started seeing Libby, who took a more thorough, holistic approach my injury began to improve rapidly. She is very well educated and highly experienced. I would therefore highly recommend Eastern Sports & Spinal after many years with other physios, can say that they're easily one of the best in Adelaide.

I have attended Eastern Sports and Spinal Care for several years having incurred many injuries as well as having long term chronic back pain. With their treatment and classes they aimed for me to rehabilitate, reduce pain and improve mobility and strength leading to an improved lifestyle.
As well as the treatment provided their corrections and attention to technique and alignment in classes ensure these aims are met and avoids exacerbating existing complaints and developing new ones. Frequent reviews and exercise modifications allow increases in the level and difficulty of exercises.

I was referred by my GP to Eastern Sports and Spinal Care several years ago for maintenance of long-term back pain. That rehabilitation treatment has continued through treatment and Pilates classes, and I have used the Clinic for other issues (shoulder, neck, etc.). I also attend exercise classes which have addressed issues such as balance, cardio fitness, core strength and so on, and my individual program has been carefully monitored and reviewed by the staff to respond to needs. The physios are of the highest standard and I highly recommend this practice.

The experienced and highly skilled physiotherapists at ESSC take time to properly assess their clients problems, provide the appropriate treatment, and then recommend specific exercises to manage the problems or minimise the likelihood that they will recur. Their Pilates programme (both floor & equipment classes) and focused relaxation sessions (clinical hypnosis) are excellent services that assist clients to develop their strengths, skills & resources. Having been a client for over 25 years (the Pilates classes have enabled me to overcome pain problems that plagued me for years!), I highly recommend
