Services
At Delasa Psychology, we also provide services to those who wish to improve their quality of life, increase their overall life satisfaction, or learn skills to prevent mental illness for themselves and their families. We offer various workshops on these and other helpful topics from time to time. Workshops are a great way for you to learn helpful life skills and meet other likeminded people.
This 18 hours workshop is designed by our psychologist Sahba Saberi, and aims to provide people from all walks of life with simple yet life changing tools to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Fount has received excellent reviews from participants in the past and we are delighted to see it head towards further growth and developments in the near future.
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist. However if you visit your GP you may be eligible for referral under a Mental Health Care Plan via the Medicare Better Access Scheme. This will make you eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year (and in special circumstances, up to 16).
The Australian Psychological Society recommends a fee of $218.00 for a standard psychological consultation of 45-60 minutes. However, to enable more people to access to psychological services, Delasa Psychology's fees are substantially less (see below). Please speak to us if you wish to make an appointment or attend a workshop but are facing financial difficulties.
Psychological treatment aims to help in ways that are quite distinct from most human relationships that we experience in the society. To begin with, your therapist will focus on providing you with a safe, comfortable and non-judgemental space in which you are able to express your thoughts and emotions and feel listened to.
