Drawable was founded in 2007 by Dave Starr, an electrician turned project manager who struggled to source shop drawings and recognised there was a gap in the market for trade drafting. Since then he has built a crack team of CAD specialists whose commitment to excellence has earned a Letter of Recognised Supply (LoRS) from the Department of Defence.
After delivering more than 11,000 projects to contractors, corporations, institutions and government departments throughout the Pacific Rim, Drawable is now established as a leading provider of 2D trade drawings and digital Building Information Models. Drawable's office is in the classic polished timber warehouse that is the historic site of Starkey's Ginger Beer.

Services
Visit our heritage office to drop off mark-ups, print/scan plans up to A0 size or get advice from an expert trade draftsperson. Drawable's expertise has been invaluable for the BIM coordination of the Sydney Opera House Function Centre upgrade. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Dave and his team provide excellent service, a high level of accuracy and fast turnaround times.
Way back in 1982, when the average draftsman was still wielding pencils and protractors at a drawing board, software developer Autodesk released a computer-aided design (CAD) software application called AutoCAD. This revolutionary piece of tech went on to become the go-to design program for the construction industry, and is still the most widely utilised software for two-dimensional trade drafting.
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure. Revit is a software app (from the same stable as AutoCAD) used to generate Building Information Modelling, or BIM for short.
