If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in Port Douglas these self contained, affordably priced, centrally located apartments are a real favourite with holidaymakers. All the one bedroom pool view or poolside apartments either overlook the resort pool from their balcony or have easy access from their private courtyard.
With the capacity to sleep four people, the two bedroom one and two bathroom apartments has kitchen facilities, is air-conditioned and has ceiling fans throughout. The standard bedding is one queen bed and one king sized bed, there is the option to split the king sized bed into two single beds with no extra cost so long as this arrangement is made with the property prior to your day of arrival.

We just loved this place. Cannot fault a thing.
We loved it here so much we wanted to buy a unit…… but nothing was on the market.
The pool was amazing, location could not have been better. Plenty of room in our room. We had 2 balcony areas lounge dining kitchenette.
We wish we could have stayed longer.

I booked a studio as a solo traveller and couldn't have had a more enjoyable stay - value for money is 5 star. The room was compact as advertised but for 1 person was absolutely fine and cosy - large and modern bathroom, comfortable soft bed and a small private courtyard. Being right up the back of the property was quiet too (just be aware there is no lift if you're bothered by stairs ask for a first level room). Tea and Coffee facilities and fridge + freezer is provided, a microwave would be a nice addition however the next room style up (1 bedroom) has cooking facilities. Otherwise really had

We absolutely loved our stay at the Newport. The location was fantastic, as you are right in the middle of town with everything you would need nearby. The rooms were large and very comfortable. There was a full size fridge, Netflix on two tvs and great wifi. The owner/staff member Patrick was fantastic, a really nice and helpful guy. We enjoyed staying here so much that we extended our stay twice. Would stay here again quite happily!

Save yourself big money and important holiday time! STAY @ THE NEWPORT! very clean, great pool, quiet rooms, absolutely central to the main street. Easy stroll to the Marina for reef tours. Coles across the road. 4 pubs within 50m. Why go anywhere else. Get tips and recommendations from Patrick. Great service! We will be back!

Great place to stay! Room was really spacious, massive bathroom and cute little balcony that was surrounded by plants. Had a smart TV which was a nice surprise. The guy at the reception counter was amazing, so friendly and helpful. We were a few hours early for checkin and he went out of his way to have the room ready early which was lovely. Pool was lovely temperature and very clean. Wish we had stayed more than one night.

We loved our stay at the Newport. Comfortable and relaxing couple of days. We got upgraded to a 1-bedroom apartment with direct access to the pool, which we loved. There are barbecue facilities as well next to the pool, with all the you need. Location is perfect, close to everything: pier, beach, restaurants and shopping centre with coles, bottle shop and target. Patrick was attentive and nice at all times.

Such a delight to stay here. The room was brilliant - furnishings very comfortable and tasteful and clean. Plenty of space and outdoors areas. Patrick was exceptional. Felt welcomed at all times. Hard to not chill out and relax in such comfortable accommodation. When returning to Port Douglas I wouldn't consider any other acommodation. Fantastic value with a smile.
