Debbie Owen is the Director/Owner of Ashmore Podiatry and started the business in 1994 after graduating from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane in 1991. After 25 years of client facing, Debbie has now taken a side-step and her primary role is clinical mentoring. Rebecca graduated from Birmingham School of Podiatry (UK) in 2000 with a first class honors degree in podiatry.
Our podiatrists are dedicated health care professionals for conditions of the feet and for problems that feet may cause elsewhere in your body. For example, changes in foot posture may cause pain in the shins, kneecaps, outer buttock or hip, lower back, mid back, shoulder blades and, of course, in the foot itself.
Skin and nails are the first line of defence to block pathogens and other germs getting into your body. When pain arises in these areas, it is often a sign of trauma, ill-fitting shoes, high-pressure areas on the feet or that hygiene has not been adequately maintained. Our team understands that feet can be a topic people often avoid.
If conservative management of an ingrown toenail fails, the problem is ongoing, or infection has not responded to antibiotic therapy, minor surgical intervention may be necessary for a permanent solution. The procedure to remove an ingrown nail is performed in one of our fully equipped clinic rooms at Ashmore Podiatry by our qualified and experienced podiatrists using sterile techniques.
Diabetes is a complex and progressive condition that can affect many parts of your body, including your feet. Podiatrists are one of the essential professions within diabetic care and have an important role to play in preventing and managing foot complications amongst people with diabetes. It is crucial that people with diabetes understand the cause of these risks and their current risk status to minimise complications.

Debbie looked after me going back 14+ years ago. I've had my annual appointments at Ashmore Podiatry ever since because of Debbie who is no longer practising. I haven't experienced the same quality & care of service since my time with Debbie. Thank you Olivia for your efficiency but unfortunately these days I feel like a number.
