Blood flow problems can cause intense foot and toe pain, burning sensations of the feet, cramping of the feet and legs and swelling of the feet and legs.
1. Soaking the ingrown nail in warm salty water, to draw out any infection. Avoid pools, spa pools, beach or other natural waters sources, as this will increase your risk of infection. 4. Controlling blood glucose levels and exercise regularly is the best way to help slow the disease progressing. The good news is diabetic foot complications can be prevented. The key is controlling blood glucose levels by making changes to your diet, exercising more and taking medications including hypoglycaemic medications and insulin.
She has completed undergraduate degree in Podiatry from the Queensland University of Technology and a Human Movement Studies degree majoring in Exercise management from The University Of Queensland. Jodi has also completed postgraduate Podiatry training at the University of South Australia in the areas of Paediatric Podiatry, Sports Medicine and Foot Biomechanics.
Jodi continues to attend paediatric podiatric related education and reads widely about child development. Her main interest areas are hypermobility disorders and their effects through the lifespan and foot biomechanics. 1. Pain in the feet, ankles and legs should not be seen as a "normal" problem for children and should be treated.
