When trying to decide where to go for your lower limb health care needs, you must first decide what is most important to you. With clinic locations in Cannon Hill, Capalaba, Inala & Underwood you have better access to care with the same friendly team that know you and your care needs. Moving Forward Podiatry has a long history of working with people most in need of care.
Good health care is a basic human right. In Australia people should be able to access great evidence based clinical healthcare interventions regardless of social determinants, race and wealth. Moving Forward Podiatry was established in 2017 by principle podiatrist Matthew Christie.
Following a long successful career providing lower limb health services to some of the UK and Australia's most disadvantaged populations, Matthew has gone about putting together a blueprint for the provision of great lower limb health care.Matthew's vision and values are guided by principles laid out in the Declaration of Human Rights, that excellent health care should be available to all.

Physical therapy is the use of mechanical force and movements (bio-mechanics or kinesiology) for the preservation, enhancement or restoration of movement and physical function. When we sustain an injury, our fascia contracts to protect the injured structures and becomes less pliable which transfers tension to the rest of the body.
When we engage in physical activity there is a positive effect on muscle, tendon, bone, and overall physical and mental health when performed within our levels of tolerance. However, when we overexert our bodies or have incorrect form, a sporting injury may occur. Ice: Ice the affected area immediately being careful not to put ice in direct contact with uncovered skin as this may induce a cold burn.
As parents we worry about our children. We worry our children may be off balance, we worry that they are too floppy and perhaps their hips, legs and feet don't quite seem to look like ours. The good news is that children's lower limbs are different to adults, as they are still developing. However, sometimes children need a little help to ensure they are on the best path to develop properly.

Matthew genuinely cares about his clients and their desired outcomes. As a yoga teacher with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Matthew has helped me to manage and resolve flare ups quickly, enabling me to continue my yoga practice and teaching. He is caring, professional and practical in his approach, which is why I recommend his services to others all the time.

I’ve been going to Matt for 8 months on a fortnightly basis for a persistent debilitating corn/callous brought on by not wearing the correct shoes at work. In the time I’ve seen Matt the condition of my foot not to mention my other foot, knees, calves, hips have all improved in strength and pain reduction has been tremendous all because of his… expertise and direct and knowledgeable approach to the rehabilitation of my foot and the strengthening of the other parts of my body that have been affected by this callous I’ve had for over 5 years. Every single appointment I leave

Mathew is a friendly & fantastic podiatrist. I really like his professional approach to me & the fact he is interested enough to want to fix my problems. Previously, podiatrists have only wanted to sell me items that were only temporarily helping. Mathew genuinely wants to provide treatment. He has also referred me to other health professionals who are equally as good. No orthotics just good old fashioned patient care. Don't go anywhere else.
