4 years ago, we went for my wife’s cousins wedding and it was a beautiful set up and ceremony. But the room was nice and spotless until we wanted to use the hot tub. Hair clogged in the outlet then we noticed legitimate bloody fingerprints and blood spray on the pillar next to the hot tub. WTH! We were shocked and mentioned it, they did clean it but acted as if it wasn’t that bad. We still stayed the rest of our trip there but went to the drug store down the road and bought cleaning supplies. Sanitized it ourselves.

Had a reservation back in august for 3 days. As soon as we got to our room we noticed a strong moldy smell. Aside from that mold was visible on walls and air vents. Room was dusty all around. Floor had not been cleaned. When we went to see if we could get another room they said they were at their max capacity due to an event and had no more rooms. So i asked the receptionist to cancel our reservagion as this was not our fault and to please refund our money back. She said there was no problem. Any ways long story short they never refunded us our 486.00 we stayed but an hr. In our room and paid all

My husband and I stayed here earlier this year January 2021 and we wanted to enjoy it but couldn't.
Firstly the room wasn't clean and things weren't dusted prior to us coming in..
Secondly the pool deck and area looked like it hadn't been clean in weeks. Things floating in the pool, there was a stain on the pool floor as well.
Lastly, our toilet had plumbing issues. They came fairly quickly when it clogged a second time.
But the location is beautiful especially with the greenery. It is a big hotel and room reflecting that as well.
The staff were attentive and friendly.

DO NOT reserve an event with this hotel or any other building under the ownership of whatever money-hungry capitalistic-thumping child that purchased this and multiple other properties. The staff in charge of booking events are unprofessional and have no true customer service skills. My friend’s wedding was booked here months and months prior to date of the wedding. At that time of the booking, it was promised to her that the renovations on this building would be complete in-time for the wedding. Then, with one month prior to her wedding, they inform her there were delays in the renovation and

The room was super dirty, full of dust. Even had items still from previous guests. The room had also a window that is missing and you have to sleep listening to the cars and people screaming and talking in the streets. A whole window just completely open and has not been repaired. The hotel looks like it has not been taken care of. Defiantly not what is was years ago.

My man and I visited to celebrate our birthdays. We arrived to very nice aesthetics at the front entry and lobby. We arrived in a beautiful entry to our Executive Suite. The room was just as seen on the pictures, but a little older. The problem was that the room smelled like very strong mold & mildew. It was so strong, I knew it would begin to bother my asthma. We decided to inform the front desk. She was helpful and asked if I would like to check the room available to see of it's okay before moving. I agreed, but that one was not comparable to what we paid for the trip. The 3rd room had mold on

I have a soft spot for the Mayfair since I love the architecture and history of the Mayfair itself and Coconut Grove. The hotel itself is beautiful as far as the lobby. Staff work very hard to keep everything running smoothly. The rooms are a bit outdated but they’re enormous. Love the space. I don’t love the hot tubs on the patio, and we didn’t use ours. Also, the rooms can be a bit humid if the patio doors are left cracked open. I think if people are staying here, you have to understand this is a historic property and has niche architecture given how old the property is. A lot of the features
