Walcha Motel is conveniently located right in the centre of town, 120m west of the intersection of Thunderbolts Way & the Oxley Highway. Follow the New England Highway north to Bendemeer, then turn right on to the Oxley Hwy. Follow the Oxley for 49km to Walcha. As you reach the town limits you travel down a hill and there is a roundabout at the bottom.
A: 10am, we can be flexible with this on request but rooms must be vacated before cleaning staff leave for the day. A: Walcha Motel offers room service meals, We are also within 2-5 minutes walk to a number of restaurants and fast food outlets. A: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to check in date and time.

Pros: Clean and well fitted out, efficient staff, who make an effort to meet your needs, reasonably priced, quiet.
Cons: I found the room very dusty, which didn't make sense, because as far as I could tell, it was spotless. I couldn't see any dust anywhere. Maybe it was the blankets. I also found the bed firm (but could still tell it was good quality), and the pillows high & firm. As with most motels, towels were on the bottom of the bed. This antiquated practice needs to stop, but that's across the board, not just at this place.
