The Walcha Shire is located in the beautiful and very productive New England Tablelands region of New South Wales. The Shire is some 640,000 ha in area and has a total population of 3208. The town of Walcha (pronounced 'wolka') is 1067 metres above sea level. Walcha can be reached by road, rail and air.
Anglea House B&B proved to be better than expected for the modest price. Our self contained apartment was super clean, attractive, extremely comfortable and quite spacious for a couple like ourselves. The kitchen was excellent and well equipped. The bathroom was near new and attractively designed. The owners were helpful but non obtrusive.
