Canterbury Community Child Care Centre (CCCCC) proudly provides quality not-for- profit, community based, since 1954 is an extended hours preschool catering for children between the ages of 3 and 5. Situated in the pleasant residential suburb of Ashbury, this long established, community based centre offers an educational preschool program.
The centre operates between 8.30am and 4.00pm with the children attending two or three consecutive days a week. Through preschool education our children become active, enthusiastic learners ready for the challenges of formal schooling. Please note that the preschool receives a reduced amount of funding for 3 year old children and as such they pay a higher daily fee.

Services
Canterbury Community Child Care Centre was established in 1954 as a not-for-profit, community-based preschool to provide an educational preschool program for children aged 3 to 6 years. The preschool is licensed by the Department of Education for 32 children per day, 64 children per week. It is managed by a volunteer parent committee, in collaboration with the Directors.
We believe in acknowledging the original custodians of this land, the Dharawal people and their language and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the community. Our philosophy is inspired and guided by our knowledge of current research, The Early Childhood Association Code of Ethics, The National Quality Standards and The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia - Belonging, Being and Becoming 2009.
You are welcome to come in and visit us Monday to Friday during operating hours to pick up a waiting list enrolment form. A fee of $10.00 per child will be charged upon application. Please come in to the centre to finalise your payment. During the visit you will have the opportunity to look around the preschool, meet with one of our educators and discuss the preschool's philosophy and operation.

This is an outstanding not-for-profit pre-school, which I highly recommend. It is extremely well run and led. All the educators are very caring and engaging with the children and parents. My son has thrived in the school's positive learning and social environment over the last two years and we have made friends with some wonderful families. We will also be sending our daughter here.

Sending our second child here. They're a fantastic play-based learning centre, and you can be assured that you're sending your child to carers that have great empathy and actually care about your child and their development towards prepping them for Primary School.
And you get a free shoe-full of sand at pickup - how great is that!
