Services
We use ancient Chinese medicine and Acupuncture to support and care for women's and men's health. Our patients range from birth to the elderly. Specialising in Japanese acupuncture, our treatments are very gentle and you will receive the best of care in a peaceful and tranquil environment. Our treatments will relax you if you need to de-stress, or rejuvenate you, should you require an energy boost.
Infertility Acupuncture: For men to promote healthy sperm or treatment protocols for each part of the woman's cycle to promote fertility. IVF support: We work with the fertility clinic in Bondi Junction and understand the role of western science in-vitro fertilization. We will work with you to optimize your success rate and support you through the different phases of the IVF cycle.
Houng has a special interest in treatments for children (having treated children as young as 3 weeks old), health for women, and infertility, IVF acupuncture for women as well as men. John is experienced in musculoskeletal acupuncture and has magic hands. He is also a qualified remedial massage therapist integrating massage as necessary.
Shiatsu Massage has the benefits of a massage while incorporating traditional Chinese Medicine. A massage that works Meridians (energy pathways) to remove blockages, will allow the free flow of energy or movement to any area in the body. With freer movement there is less tension and muscle tightness causes you distress.
Eastern Therapies is located in the Sydney CBD, with another clinic conveniently nearby in Bondi Junction as well. I am very underwhelmed with my experience here. I have had acupuncture my whole life back in my home town with two different practitioners with great results.
Today I had an appointment which I paid $168 for the initial (fair enough) - however there was no initial appointment... I filled out a pre-appointment questionnaire but during my appointment almost none of this information was raised and I was simply asked a couple of basic questions regarding sleep pattern and anxiety. The questioning phase section of the appointment lasted for appox. 3-4 minutes. (I promise I'm not exaggerating) I understand

I went here for three consecutive days for laser accupuncture for smoking cessation a couple of years ago. I was kept waiting on all these days and for no good reason as this was early morning and there was no one around except for the guy on reception.
The person I saw the first day was female, very good and definitely knew what she was doing. The next two days I saw two different men who kept referring to notes to see which areas to work on for what they had to do. They obviously were not familiar with what they were supposed to do and I felt like a test subject.Thankfully they were not surgeons

My wife went to them for getting treatment for stress and anxiety. They charged $160 for first visit.
After she came back, she was hopping a very fresh and soothing effect but that gone totally horrifying.
She lost her sleep, she couldn’t sleep for 4 nights. She was spending nights like owl 🦉
Which turns her grumpy and moody.
Off course if a person didn’t sleep for 4 days what you expect her to response.
Mind you, before the session she was having very good sleep pattern.
We contacted the clinic and they ask her to come to clinic as soon as possible with no charges.
In that sitting

Houng is the best Acupuncturist I have ever met over my twenty five years of getting treatments in the US, Europe and Australia. Her immense knowledge and skill helped me get better within minutes of her treating my neck pain induced by several herniated discs, bad posture and horrible spasms, completely unbelievable!
