Services
Yamba and nearby Angourie is a 9-hour drive north of Sydney and 3 hours south of Brisbane meaning they enjoy a mild climate fairly similar to the Gold Coast in Queensland. They've been a haven for surfers since they were 'discovered' in the 1960's and a National Surfing Reserve was established here in 2007.

I stayed in the same unit. Received the same lie from John. This unit isn’t advertised on the site but he manages to throw you into it when he wants a bigger booking in their better units. Would NEVER stay here again. Complete betrayal on what was discussed when the unit was booked. Do not trust these people!!

We stayed 3 nights in unit 2 recently and for $205 per night we were less than impressed.
We realised it was an older building, that was okay, but the cleanliness was below par and the run down op shop furniture and fittings were dreadful. Don’t get me started on the bathroom, which looked like no work has been done on it since the sixties.
Some… elbow grease and a freshen up wouldn’t go astray. We paid a lot for the view to the sea over a tin roof and rusty paintwork of the building next door. Broken down outdoor furniture made it difficult even to enjoy that.

Lovely unit in possibly the best location absolute sea frontage and easy access to beach and swimming pool. Perhaps a small BBQ would have been good. Very small car parking spaces so medium SUVs and 4x4 a bit too cosy. There are two other spaces for off road parking not undercover, otherwise it is street parking. People with us hit Honda Civic sedans door on low wall near car space and another units occupant had similar issue. All that aside the apartment is very comfortable.

Went to stay at the boat house & was hugely dissapointed. The place smelt had a thick coat of dust + cob webs & generally felt unclean. Not a place i would want to stay with my children. Although the place was pleasing to the eye on the outside i would recommend a good paint on the inside. Couldn't even bring ourselves to stay and got better accommodation for cheaper in yamba. Also dissapointed that john didn't refund our deposit. Won't be back.
