Hobart Counselling Centre provides counselling, psychotherapy and psychological services in Tasmania for those experiencing personal, relationship, and work related difficulties. We offer services for eating disorders, trauma (including childhood trauma), transgender and gender diversity counselling, child and adolescent concerns and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP Counselling).
The Centre provides services to individuals accessing the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) in addition to providing psychological services for children and young people living in Out of Home Care. Services
Diane is a Hobart Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Counsellor and accredited Gestalt Psychotherapist. Diane provides Psychotherapy, Counselling and Psychological services for adults, adolescents, children and families. Diane provides international training programs, workshops for organisations and schools on various mental health topics in addition to offering programs for parents and carers.
Nikita provides Psychotherapy and Counselling services for individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families. Nikita received her Honours in Psychology in 2016 and completed her Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Western Sydney University. She is a clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
Margaret has broad experience, both as a professional nurse working in the UK and Australia and as a therapist working in Australia. As a Registered Nurse she has worked in emergency departments, intensive care units and the care of patients with burns. Margaret has extensive experience that has deeply informed her professional practise as a therapist in understanding vulnerability and the impact on oneself.
Kate has extensive counselling experience and a background working in oncology and palliative care. Kate worked for many years as a nurse before retraining in bereavement support and art therapy. Kate works with children and adults and provides services for clients of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Hobart Counselling Centre is expanding to meet our client needs and referral demand. We are looking for registered psychologists who are interested in providing quality therapy and building a strong private practice. The centre offers beautifully furnished counselling rooms situated in a quiet, historic freestone building in Hobart.
