ODD was established in 1996 by Ford Miles and Gerry O'Brien. We have known each other since high school and both of us joined the Army in 1983 & 1988 respectively. We both had developed an interest in screen printing and while in the Army maintained this interest. At the point where both of us had qualified for long service leave we decided to establish a screen printing business that would focus primarily on military clients.

That was over 20 years ago. Over time we have developed strong links with many units within the Defence Force, Australia wide. With increasing operations overseas we are now routinely supplying our units all over the globe. We are aiming to be a one-stop shop for the core items that most units require.
Services
Polyester is marketed under many names; Micro-Dry, Biz Cool, Cool Dry, Breezeway, Kooldri, Rapidry, the list goes on but all are a variation of polyester microfibre. Their main variation is the weight and finish of the fabric. The newer ranges are generally a lighter weight at about 130gsm which gives a lighter weight shirt.
Over the last 20 years the ability and inclination to manufacture garments in this country has declined. This is due to many factors, one of which is that the range of garments that can now be supplied "off the shelf" is immense. The humble brown cotton t shirt that was the staple undershirt for many years, for wear under DPCU's was not a colour readily available from any supplier.
Badges come in an unlimited variety. From the official types of unit shoulder badges and call sign patches to all manner of unofficial designs. These can be embroidered in the traditional fashion but also can be sublimated if the design is very complex with great detail. The minimum quantity of embroidered badges we will do is 15 units.
These are simply a larger version of the smaller items that are often framed. Generally produced at Company flag size which is 0.9m x 0.45m or at national flag size which is 1.8m x 0.9m. The important thing to note is that these are a single sided image, not double sided and are generally not suitable to be flown as the image is only visible on one side.
These are miniature sublimated flags are often based various elements of a units heraldry. Any combination of graphics can be used and the flags can be produced in any quantity. They can be supplied at any size to be framed yourself or we can mount and frame them for you. Printed onto satin polyester for a glossy finish that makes a great personalised memento.

Odd screen printing does a fantastic job. Not only could they easily cater for the amount of shirts I needed (well over 500) but they also helped with the design, colour and style of the shirts. I'm in Brisbane and from placing the order to getting the stock delivered to me took less then a week. If I could give them 10 out of 10, I would.

I commissioned these guys for a small order of three shirts for a personal project. Their communication was prompt, polite and professional. The shirt which I purchased through them, and the print was of a very high quality. Came out perfect! Will definitely recommend and return for any other projects in the future.
