Dr Ellie Borgelt opened The Dental Spa Bondi in 2014. We offer something different from the typical dentist's surgery. You'll feel as if you've entered a soothing spa, complete with herbal tea, candles and relaxing music. With state-of-the-art dental and facial treatments, we're ready to give you a true spa experience.
Dr Ellie Borgelt earned her degree as a bachelor of dental surgery (BDS) in 2001, from one of the most prestigious universities in Venezuela. Shortly after, she moved to Australia and completed the rigorous examination process for overseas dentists by the Australian Dental Council. In 2004, she was granted her general dental registration to practice in Australia.
Dr Gustavo Vivaldi is a Diamond Invisalign provider, the highest level a dentist can be certified. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2001 and his Masters in Orthodontics in 2004, both in renowned institutions in Brazil. He opened his private practice in 2001, which he operated successfully until 2013 when he moved to Australia with his family.
When you call to schedule, we will discuss your needs. You will be asked about your dental history and whether you are having an emergency. We try to ask as many questions as possible when you call, so we can have all the necessary information before your arrival. You will receive an SMS reminder the day before your appointment.
With the recent focus in the media on health and safety at dental practices, we want to reassure our patients that we use the highest control standards. We go above and beyond the requirements set by the Australian Dental Association to guarantee our patients' safety. At The Dental Spa Bondi, we sterilise every single instrument using an ultrasonic cleaner and a dryer.

I can't recommend the dental spa highly enough, Ellie has completely transformed my smile and given me back my confidence. From the moment you walk in you feel at ease and at home. Treatment options are discussed in depth and Ellie works with you to create a plan that suits your needs and budget, which I found took the immense pressure of deciding if I could afford the treatment away. Most importantly could be Ellie's gentle touch, unlike past experiences each visit has been pain and fuss free. 10/10 would recommend again and again.

Best dentist experience ever! I have always been very anxious about dealing with pain, needles and doctors/dentists in general and this place blew my mine. First of all they squeeze me in for an emergency appointment because I was dealing with so much pain in one of my molar and Ellie save the day without any pain.
I feel so happy I have found this beautiful place, it really change the way I feel of coming to the dentist.

My four kids love going to the dentist! Dr Ellie is fantastic with kids, and all the staff are mums so they are extremely family friendly and accommodating. My kids beg to go to the dentist, and there is certainly no fear of any procedures. The Dental Spa is clean with all modern technology. We love the headphones and TV on the ceiling so you can catch up on Netflix while getting your dental treatments done. I highly recommend Dr Ellie and her team at The Dental Spa.

I lived in Melbourne for many years but thankfully found Ellie one trip to Sydney. Needless to say I would wait until my trips to Sydney to see her instead of someone local. She is very professional, thorough and the price is always competitive- but best of all I felt totally supported and taken care of. Definitely worth the wait!

I just wanted to say thank you to Ellie and her team. My almost 3 year old had a terrible fall and had to have his tooth extracted recently. Ellie made him so comfortable and the whole experience was made as pleasant as possible. Having already previously lost another tooth it was nice to know he was in such safe hands. Today his older brother who… is almost 5 went for his first appointment and my youngest didn't want to share the fun and couldn't get on the bed fast enough and told his brother that Ellie is "his dentist"! It was very cute and clearly my son is one of Ellie's biggest fans

Ellie and her entire team are wonderful. They are fabulous with children and immediately puts them at ease. My 8 year old wasn't sleeping at night due to being anxious about dentist visits and since visiting Ellie all her worries have gone! Treatment isn't done unless really necessary, this is the only dentist we'll be using as an entire family! Can't rate you highly enough and thank you :-)
