New View Psychology (NVP) provides counselling and psychological services nationally and internationally. Established in 2005, NVP has become the largest psychology provider in Australia. With over 100 locations and a network of over 150 clinicians, NVP is well placed in finding the right clinician for your mental health needs.
Seeking help for your mental health can be quite nerve-racking and not knowing what to expect can cause worry. However, it is important to remind yourself that you have already taken the hardest step, which is realising the need to seek support for yourself and taking action on it. It is common in the first session to forget the issues you want to discuss with your clinician.
The Medicare rebate for a General Psychologist is $87.45 per session and $128.40 for a Clinical Psychologist. You will be issued with a receipt, which you can use to claim on your private health insurance. Please contact your respective health insurer to discuss applicable rebates. Please note, clients are only eligible for one form a rebate at a time, either through medicare or through private health insurance.
