We have a very experienced, dedicated, caring and compassionate, friendly and stable team, determined to provide the best veterinary service we can to you whenever you visit or stay with us at Mamre Road Vets. I have been a vet nurse at MRV for 19yrs (as of 2021) and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
I have loved animals as long as I can remember. I would probably say my favourite part of the job is being there for the animals making their visit as happy and comfortable as possible. Especially if they are in hospital without their families. I love them all like they are my own! About 18 years ago I took stock of my life and decided to give it a complete shake up.

Services
My team and I are dedicated to providing you with the best possible care we can, faithfully, when young and when old, in sickness and in health, and in good times and bad. This is our vow. We have the experience, expertise and equipment to diagnose and manage the vast majority of medical and surgical conditions in house.
We are very keen to provide you with the best advice and preventive medicine programmes we can to keep you in good health throughout your life. We believe you are what you eat so a good diet is essential to good health, and also that prevention is a lot better (and cheaper) than cure. Our preventive medicine programmes are designed accordingly.
We have a very well equipped hospital ward to care for you should you fall sick and need medical treatment or hospitalisation. We have advanced blood testing equipment, digital Xray, ultrasound, endoscope, laboratory and other diagnostic equipment to help work out what is wrong, as well as everything we need, in most circumstances, to provide you with the necessary medical treatment, care and comfort should you need to stay hospitalised.
We are also well equipped to treat you if you are injured or need surgery, again in most circumstances. We have a very well equipped surgery including modern anaesthetic equipment, anaesthetic and critical care monitoring equipment, a large range of surgical instruments, and the experience and expertise to allow us to perform most soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical procedures without the need for referral.
The course involves 4 weekly classes and you should ask your family, who are all welcome to attend, to enrol you when you are 8-14 wks old. This is the age at which you puppies would learn social skills in a pack of dogs. The cost of the course is $115. Please call to book in or check out Sarah's website Pawsome Puppy Preschool for more information.

My daughter recently took her very sick Pug Digby to Mamre Rd. Vetinary Surgery where she and Digby were treated with the utmost kindness. I spoke with Richard a number of times as he explained things in detail and advised the best course of action. The wonderful staff looked after Digby with a great deal of care and really helped my daughter through a very stressful time. Digby is recovering well thanks to everyone at Mamre Road Vetinary Surgery.

Our beautiful 5 month old kitten Maggie went in for desexing today. Thank you so much for looking after her. She is safely home and was already roaming around on places where she shouldn't be (like the… breakfast bar!) Her big sister Elsa is looking after her. Thanks again guys. And big cuddles to your adorable chunky guy Finnegan! 😚
