Foot orthoses are custom shoe inserts designed to support, align or improve the function of the foot. At Pacific Podiatry we design the orthotic based on individual needs and requirements, following findings from your biomechanical assessment. We provide assessment, diagnosis, management and prevention of a wide range of foot, ankle and lower limb conditions. This is possibly the most common foot complaint we treat. There are 26 bones in the foot, of which the heel bone ( calcaneus) is the largest. The human heel is designed to provide a rigid support for the weight of the body.
A Podiatrist is trained to assess, diagnose and treat foot and lower limb problems. These may include skin and nail problems, foot and ankle injuries, foot complications related to diabetes and other medical conditions and problems with gait or walking. Podiatrists play an important role in monitoring disease and managing lower limb issues to maintain an active and mobile population across the lifespan.

I've been known Andrea Downs for around 18 years during this time she has been my podiatrist. Always pleasant & competent had successful orthotics made by Andrea for myself & 2 daughters. I gave up after about 5 consultations... Zero effectiveness with their advice and supply of orthotics which apparently were "measured incorrectly" Didnt offer a refund nor any worthwhile advice... should have said "Im not sure I can assist.... go to a surgeon" As it happened, I did (via my GP)and the difference in professionalism was obvious. Im sorry to say, Pacicific Podiatry was a waste of time and money; nothing personal, just a fact.
