We thank the Deerubbin people from the Darug Country for the land on which we play and learn. Five Senses Childcare has been an integral part of the Colyton community from 2009 and has since had a positive impact on the local area. Over the years we have established and maintained many relationships amongst satisfied families who continuously return for the education and care of younger siblings.

We truly believe that preschool education is paramount for the development of children in order to prepare them for a lifetime of learning. Five Senses is a privately-owned childcare that endeavours to provide an exceptional service at a feasible price.
Services
We respect and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on this land and commit to building a brighter future together. At Five Senses Childcare we value the development of each child's resilience and their ability to become capable and competent learners in the early years.
The development of children throughout their earliest years takes place through relationships, particularly within families who are the child's first and most influential educators. Educators view culture and the context of family as central to a child's sense of being, belonging and becoming.

All program planning is based on a child's culture, their current interests, knowledge, and strengths to ensure their motivation and engagement in learning. We take a holistic approach appreciating each child's physical, personal, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing as well as their cognitive aspects of learning.
Here at Five Senses Childcare, we aim to create an exceptional service where each National Quality Standard area is achieved at the highest rating. Educational program and practice of educators are child-centred, stimulating and maximise opportunities for enhancing and extending each child's learning and development.
Our high expectations for children promote their ability to reach their full potential ensuring a smoother transition into primary school. School readiness tasks are comprehensive structured activities to prepare children for structured learning. We take careful record of children's development during their time here, through our portfolio program, which is sent home upon graduation.
Your child's health, safety and wellbeing are our highest priority here at Five Senses Childcare. Children's early years are a time when food habits are being developed, many of which will be retained throughout life. Creating healthy habits from such a young age improves children's overall lifestyle and contributes to the positive development of both their physical and mental well-being, allowing them to reach their full potential.
