Herston Place Motel has been associated with Queensland Health PTSS for more than 20 years. We specialize in hospital stays due to our location just a short walk away from The Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital. At Herston Place Motel we bulk bill your accommodation and participate in the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme.
Chris in particular is hilarious. Fantastic Service, Clean & Comfortable rooms! I recently stayed at Herston Place Motel for a week during a visit of a friend in hospital at the RBH. Was origianlly booked at a different hotel in Herston but was treated terribly by staff. When coming to Herston Place Motel I felt like a part of the family.

Yes, if approved forms have been received, we can follow up the payment directly with the hospitals & all you will need to pay is the difference. Standard check-in time is 1.00pm, if you require it to be earlier please advise at booking. Yes, all rooms at Herston Place Motel are non-smoking, however we also have allocated smoking areas if required.

Motel rooms tidy, clean. Good rates. Owners are outstanding. I stay because of hospital trips and they have been great in accommodating me on short notice, not knowing if I’m staying from one day to another and been very warm, understanding and helpful during an extremely difficult time. Cannot recommend them enough.

We stay here regularly for hospital visits. Having stayed for as long as one week and as little as one night we always find we’re well looked after. The rooms are clean and comfortable, we can be accommodated upstairs or downstairs, we only have to ask, and the owner remembers us, so our preferences are always considered and asked about when we book. Extra towels and pillows and blankets are never an issue, the air conditioning works well and the rooms have ceiling fans. Overpriced, rooms are disgustingly dirty (live cockroaches and stained linen) and very dated. No wifi in rooms. Bed feels like it’s 20+ years old and missing cutlery and crockery. Manager (Chris I believe is his name) is extremely rude looks like he is homeless even though he apparently runs the place. They also to charge you extra for whatever they can and forget trying to get a refund if you cancel a year out as they’ll keep your money, no matter the reason or notice given. I booked this motel through Agoda for 18 nights. I had to cut short my stay by 4 nights as my mother was unexpectedly transferred out of RBWH.
Despite giving the manager several days warning of the change, he advised he could not refund my money as I booked through Agoda and that was the terms and conditions.
I contacted Agoda who gave me written confirmation of their willingness to refund my money but they advised that when they contacted the motel, the request was met with a definite refusal.
I again spoke with the Motel manager, Chris, and also emailed him. I sent him copies of the terms
