We were dining only at the Vineyard as a bit of a treat and had a fantastic experience. The service was exceptional and if you would like to have your food paired with one of their wines then the sommelier is on hand to make recommendations based on your preferences. The ‘deconstructed bounty’ desert stood out in particular and was a really unique offering that completed our meal. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion or celebration.

We really enjoyed our stay, the place is nicely designed, comfortable and cosy. Amazing dinner, the chefs are really skillful, crab and trout starters were amazing, venison was really cooked at perfection. The monkfish came with a burnt orange cream which tested a bit extreme at first, but it actually worked so well with the monkfish, genius match. Romain the sommelier was top, friendly and so knowledgeable. The wine list is amazing, focused on Californian, we had to pick from that region as there are some real gems there...

Enjoyed my stay there .The place is 1.5 hours drive from London.Dandy elegant, great breakfast, may be a bit too many cheap pictures on the walls,but who cares when the place is positively noble,well built ,clean,customers friendly and got such an amazing wine list and fresh food! Really nice place to spend your weekend indeed.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Vineyard and this was an anniversary present. This time was very disappointing, we had dinner booked which we sent back as the main courses and side dishes were cold. Even when they redelivered the replacements it was still cold. They tried to offer an extra drink as an apology but it was what I expected from an upper class restaurant. In the morning our room had a power cut from 8am onwards. We had no way of getting ready, no hot water for showers and no power to do hair etc.
Even on check out no one asked us how our stay was!

For dining the Vineyard has a v relaxed atmosphere and the staff are friendly, attentive but not intrusive. the food was excellent and all the flavors were a delight. if you like your food and good wine then it is a place you must visit. The drinks are not cheap but you do get a great evening out. we did not stay there so cannot comment on that side of the Hotel.

Excellent venue and superb food. Lunch slightly spoiled by parents with zero self-awareness who were happy to listen to their toddler scream and whinge for two hours, oblivious that they were sharing the dining room with others. That it wasn't their own private domain would've come as a complete surprise to them.
Don't let this put you off it is superb. Next time I'll be armed with a sharp implement just in case.

We had a wonderful experience at The Vineyard today. Food was divine, the ambiance, surroundings and staff were fabulous! Carla was incredibly kind and friendly and even assisted my cousin on the stairs as she’s a little unstable on her feet ….. will definitely be returning. Best meal we’ve had in years and the pavilion is beautiful!
