Generally in your initial consultation, your dentist will begin with a clinical examination which will involve an oral examination of your teeth, previous restorations, your gum and soft tissue. They might also recommend you take 2 diagnostic x-rays and 1 panoramic x-ray, to examine early lesions/caries, injection in the jaw which may not be visible to the naked eye, and which at an early stage may not have developed symptoms.
Opal Dental provides up to $1000 of bulk billed dental treatment under Medicare's Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS). The CDBS provides basic dental services to children aged between 2 and 17 years. Dental services are capped at $1000 over 2 consecutive calendar years. Your child may be eligible if you receive Family Tax Benefit A or certain other government payments.

We are very happy with the service provided by Opal dental. This place is very clean and receptionists are very helpful when you want to make an appointments.
I had an emergency recently and they accomodated me.Our family dentist is Dr Florina Thasanthan, she is very gentle, patient, explains everything and does a professional job. Definetely recommend this practice.

I have had the good fortune of visiting opal dental recently . I was having severe toothache and unable to eat because of swelling gum and broken down teeth. the Dentist performed 2 extraction on my wisdom teeth, and one of them are required surgical extraction. I was so nervous, but the Dentist was able to comforting me with a really gentle touch and fantastic job, also the staff was treat me with such a care. on top of that I was charged a very reasonable amount. extremely happy with opal dental and highly I recommended opal dental to everyone.

I'm from the Gold Coast and I was having a holiday over in Sydney. I was eating and must have bite into something wrongly and suddenly I had this insane tooth pain. I came to Opal Dental in an emergency and they were able to accommodate me. They solved the issue quite swiftly and effectively. The staff were very nice people that I felt quite cared for throughout the process. If you live in Sydney, I'd definitely recommend coming here over anywhere else!
