My mum’s favourite Chinese restaurant. With five daughters snd their families always vie to New Empress when it comes to Chinese cuisines. Menus are great and the service excellent and friendly. Very attentive to their diners snd humorous as well. We always recommend this place. Our mum is turning 100 years old this Nov 2021. hopefully we would be able to celebrate at New Empress at Ermington, if Covid-19 lockdown is lifted. Let’s all pray to God to be able to celebrate mum’s 100 yrs. 👍👍😋🙏🎉🎉🎂🎂

During lockdown they have one job - delivery - yet they messed that up too. Ordered at 6pm on a Saturday night, and after the order hadn't arrived by 8pm I tried to phone but they ignored the calls and didn't answer. After much Googling I found a real phone number for Deliveroo who told me the restaurant closed early tonight. Seriously? We've been going to this restaurant for 15 years yet they don't give a rat's about their customers. We are trying to support this local business during Covid lockdown but it seems they aren't worth supporting any more. Very disappointed (and very hungry)

Very very disappointing, have been going to this place for a few years now. Ordered takeaway and while we were eating found a hair in one dish and then found another hair in our second dish. Called restaurant to let them know, didn't expect anything back, didn't ask for a refund and basically got accused of lying. Lady was so rude talking over top of me when I was just trying to advise them of the quality.
Expected me to drive back and prove that there were 2 hairs in our food that were on our plates!
They have now lost a loyal customer.
Word of advise don't get on the defensive side straight

Lemon chicken, sweet sour pork and special fried rice is average. With new Sydney lockdown and the notification that we can use our dine vouchers for takeaway provided we dont use third party deliveries.
So my partner rang New Empress Chinese Restaurant - 8/2 Marsden Rd, Ermington NSW 2115 and mentioned he will do pickup and will use dine voucher. They said okey so he ordered, but when he went to pick up the restaurant said they cant make their dine app to work so my partner was not able to use his voucher and paid full price. That is very deceiving and unfair for us customers.

I came with my family last weekend.
The lady who served us was abruptly rude to us. She was unwilling to help out and demanded us not to call her so many times. She yelled at my family saying “can you tell me what you want all at once?! I can’t keep coming back and forth to your table!”.
It was very obvious she doesn’t have customer service skills, very tired or over worked.
I was very embarrassed and shocked!
