Located at 303 Exhibition Street in the Melbourne CBD: Fresh, simple and tasty, Decoy offers a great variety of cafe style dining - from breakfast through to lunch and snacks. We serve Dark Horse Coffee, brewed from beans roasted on-site. Dark Horse coffee is roasted in small batches on-site to ensure a consistent well-developed profile that is true to the Dark Horse brand.

Showcasing brilliant clarity in the cup with the hope that every sip is truly memorable. Your hosts Bill and Chris Spathis opened Decoy Caf in Flinders Lane in 2005. They moved to their larger premises at 303 Exhibition Street when they decided to start on-site, small batch coffee roasting.

$14.8 for a passable double espresso and a bacon and egg roll. Seemed unbelievable, but they confirmed the order and the price. Roll is listed at $7.5 so that’s a $7.3 espresso!

I have eaten here a half dozen times during lunch break. The food has always been delicious and the coffee was good. The Staff has also been friendly and helpful, even directing me to a different cafe the one day that I was looking for something not on their menu. Will definitely return again.
Sorry about the pic, I couldn't stop myself from eating a bit first!

Well what can I say?
I have been to a very large number of coffee shops around the city and then I came across Decoy. Well coffee shop hunting is over! Shop owners Bill and Chris are very passionate about their food and coffee. I am very fussy about coffee and I can say once you try their coffee, you will be hooked!☕

This place has amazing fruit toast!
I miss all the paintings though. I feel like the upstairs part is a lot more echo-y now too. Maybe if they put some art up or some fabric tapestries it would stop the echo!

Just started getting my large latte with honey from here, environment is welcoming and warm, the barista (unsure of her name) makes no doubt in my mind the best coffee in Melbourne. It's not the cheapest but gosh its satisfying.

Average coffee, ordered a Mocha and double shot Mocha and was really bland.
No idea why my workplace keeps ordering from these folks for our staff :(
Barista Cafe, League and 65 Degrees are heaps better in terms of taste. Heck even Jack Sprat is somewhat better.

The place for coffee snobs. Decoy Cafe is synonymous for great coffee, the cafe is bright, the staff friendly and attentive with great coffee made from coffee beans roasted on site. The food quality is excellent and well presented. A great choice for breakfast lunch or just a quick coffee.
