North Sydney Remedial & Sports Massage
Website
North Sydney Remedial & Sports Integrative Therapy was developed by Shaan Gresser, a Sydney based movement and manual therapist. After a rewarding career as an environmental scientist, I expanded my biological expertise into the human realm.

My passion for human movement and function and the intimate role it serves in our daily lives inspired my return to study and extend my capacity and knowledge to include Structural integration, remedial and sports massage therapy. For many years as a qualified Australian canoeing & kayak instructor I have helped individuals achieve their personal and fitness goals and now I enjoy applying the combined experiences of both fields.
Services
Time for your appointment has been allocated for you. Late arrival may result in a shortened session time in order that I can accommodate appointments following you. Full payment for your session will be required. Our time is important to us all. If you cannot keep an appointment, please let me know as soon as possible by calling the practice and leaving a message if the call is unable to be answered.
In essence, massage is just a term which captures a whole array of soft tissue techniques, both eastern and western, which I use to get your body moving and functioning optimally. In addition to the various massage techniques I often combine the use of a range of methods such as neuromuscular and proprioceptive techniques, positional release and gentle joint mobility to achieve the movement we need.
Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI) involves the use of hands on techniques to manipulate the myofascia (muscles and fascia) to reorganise the body's structure. The goal is to bring your body into a postural alignment that is unique to you and your environment by unwinding the strain patterns that have developed over our lifetime.
Effective sports massage and mobilisation techniques can help prevent injury, enhance recovery and improve efficiency in your body. I can tailor a sports specific treatment plan that will have you competing at your best and reduce your recovery time. We provide pre and post event massage treatments with the knowledge of your sport and achievement goals.

Amazing!
Shaan takes time to listen to all your issues and knows exactly which areas to work on. She also helps explain why your body has specific issues and gives you tips/exercises to build up the weak spots.
Shaan is very friendly and i highly recommend her.

Shaan, is a skilled therapist.
I spend a lot of time paddling and doing gym work. My back muscles are put under strain several time a week. Shaan was able to pin point trigger points and other areas of tension which I wasn't aware of and able to relax and lengthen those problem areas.
She is very professional and her warm manner encourages me to feel comfortable and assured that she knew what she was doing.
Highly recommend her to anyone needing real sport massage therapy.

Shaan brings 2 very important things to the massage table: an in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology and an amazing presence. You can feel that her single intention when she is with you is to make you feel better.
To achieve this, she blends massage styles, use her hands, elbows, forearms, and always leave you feeling relaxed and energised from head to toe. She truly cares for her clients.

Shaan is a great massage therapist. Not only does she treat the symptoms but she also takes the time to figure out the cause of any muscle pain. I've been seeing her for 12 months now and she consistently provides a quality service.

I was recommended to Shaan Gresser at my yoga studio on the lower North Shore. I feel so very fortunate to have found her ! Shaan has a very holistic approach. Her amazing knowledge of anatomy combined with her intuitive understanding of the body has been so beneficial for me.
The massage room is a beautiful space which makes it very easy to relax and enjoy a wonderful remedial massage. I highly recommend.

I’ve been receiving regular sports massage for the past 5 years now and I’ve definitely found the best yet – Shaan’s ability to combine different massage techniques to treat everything I throw at her is impressive. I’m also a fan of her friendly nature and the way she makes me feel like I’m the most important client she has! I’m sure she treats all her clients the same way - giving 200% every session! Thanks Shaan.

As a massage therapist myself I know a good massage when I find one!
I've searched the entire lower north shore for a quality remedial massage and since finding Shaan I have been going to her every couple of weeks for the past year.
Shaan has a wonderful intuitive touch driven by an all loving heart, the combination of which will every time leave you feeling 'sorted' both physically and mentally.
As a bonus Shaan's clinic is in an old stately home and overlooks a beautiful secluded garden which makes you feel you are on holiday somewhere, and all within a short walking distance of North Sydney

Wow. After an arduous Kayak marathon, Shaan went to work to restore my worn out body & mind. I'm quite fussy in the massage department, and start at a point of a bit of mistrust, as am a bit worried if done wrong, injuries etc. may become worse not better.
But it did not take long to workout, I was in expert hands. Smooth, intuitive and gentle but firm, Shaan has this way of somehow transporting you, and your mind, into a wonderful lull of peaceful bliss, so it doesn't "feel remedial" (she did this thing with my head and a towel I think, which I could have happily had go on for several more hours
